That was pretty cute: a chat timed to correspond to the energy boycott scheduled for each time zone's 7-10 pm period. Ho! Ho!

I was glad to have caught it. I have been on DG just as much as before. I have been paying more attention to the forums. It was very nice to talk to my gardening freinds.

Aaaaaaargh! I missed it! I was working on something else and didn't get to DG until this morning! I was in bed asleep before 9pm last night, too (for those of you who know me, you *know* that is nothing short of catastrophic).

I'll be watching! Could we maybe have a link on the sidebar with the upcoming chat schedule?

Thanks, ya'll - like Carol said, it was a blast to chat with my "old friends" and meet some new ones. Definitely felt like a big party. If you do decide to offer it occasionally, I personally think it'd make it more special than when it was 24/7.

Marshseed, ummmmm, I don't think the chatroom was open 7-10 on every time zone, only on EDT, [aka DGT or Dave's Garden Time :)] I think a few folks were typing by the glow of their 'puter scren, LOL!

Though I'm not a big chatroomer, it was nice to be able to pop in, and give a real-time "Hi" to you, and the others.
It was much less "cybertronic" and made you more "real", if you know what I mean? I'm glad I got the chance to thank you, "in person" for your helpful and informative site. It's nice to have a place where you can feel that you belong, and obviously, a LOT of people have come to feel that way about Dave's Garden! Thanks for the time and effort you put into it.

Dang...I missed it too...any chance you could have one during the daytime? I can never get online at night (too much to do, too little time!) Either way...I'm glad too that you opened it for a bit...wish I could have been there!

Anyone know sites where I can find pics of vegetable plants?

Pat, try Park Seed or other seed companies. Now are you supoosed to use their pics? I dunno, but I figured I was safe since I wasn't using them for commercial purposes, plus they were pics of the varieties I actually planted (what a rationalization, huh?) Also, try Michigan State University (MSU) they have a lot of pictures of flowers, but I don't know about vegetables. If I come across any other sites, I'll post back here. Surely there are some free sites out there.....

How can i get this info,,,,,,,before hand? not after?
I keep comin in and reading all that has happened?? and I never saw a vote? a few weeks ago,,,never saw WHY the chat went down,,,,,,AND never saw the chat was up the other night??
I was bragging about the Master gardener forum at my MG meeting last week,,,brought the puter in the lecture room,,,and logged on to the forum
Projected it up on the wall infront of about 50 people and couldn';t find the forum,,,,I sure looked like a fool!!~
However, I introduced about 50 Master gardeners to your forums.
Ya know I've always felt like a Mushroom??,,,maybe i am in the dark>??

I missed the surprise chat too, was gone for the weekend. It was such fun when it was here all the time, and it sure is sad that a few bad apples spoiled it for the rest of us. Maybe I'll catch it the next time you open it.

Boo-Hoo! I was watching that stupid Millionaire and didn't check here first. I'll try again more regularly. Great idea, though.
