How do I delete my old mail that I don't need to look up anymore?

Welcome luvsgrtdanes! Think of your mail as a discussion thread between you and one other person - you each have access to the same thread. If you delete it, you're essentially deleting their "thread", too. So the answer is - you can't delete your old mail ;o)
