Dave,

Are people who were formerly "subscribers", but no longer subscribe, currently considered "members"?

Any person who has a username, but is not currently subscribed, is a "member".

All subscribers are members, but not all members are subscribers.

A "visitor" is a visitor, until they login, at which point they become a member. Once they pay some money, they are then a subscriber, until that subscription expires, at which point they are then once again just a member.

I thought that's how it worked. I saw someone on the "member" list who had formerly been a subscriber. Got it! :)

Yep. I think the system sends out a notice 30 days before it expires, and a second reminder two weeks' prior. (If you re-up after the first reminder, you're spared the second one ;o)

Also, I think that if you signed up and subscribed on the same day, the date on your "My Info" page can serve as a reminder, as your subscription would be due on that date every year.

Edited to say....
No, wait - there's a "Subscription" link right beside the "My Info" link, which has the exact date that your subscription will be good for - and that would be far more reliable than your sign-up date, in most cases.
