Guess who is walking?

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Me, too. *sniffle* Can't believe she's a yearling, Chele.

Lincoln City, OR(Zone 9a)

awww I missed her birthday. I hope it was a happy one with lots of chocolate smeared all over her and her sisters too. :)

Hugs to all of you,
Lani

Uh, Chele? Have you priced weddings lately???

Boy are you in trouble!

Northern California, United States(Zone 9a)

Stumbled on this thread, what a cutie! Actaully cuties, all of them! My granddaughter Natalie turned 1 on March 3rd, exactly a month before Maddie. She also started walking early, around 10 months. Has no fear, climbs couches, dining tables, probably fences and rooftops next!

Hope to meet you and the girls and your garden, perhaps July 3rd or 4th? I have a visit planned on the morning of the 4th in Paris, KY with Thoughroughbred Daylilies, would love to meet you and Melissa too!

Moab, UT(Zone 6b)

Thoughroughbred Daylilies??? Is a Nursery?

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Any photos of cake-encrusted Maddie?

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Yeah....they are on the desktop and I have gotten so comfy on the sofa with this laptop. LOL I did at least get them off the camera a couple of days ago. Sigh.

Huntington Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

I've also been patiently waiting....can't wait to see this beautiful "1" yr. old child. lol

Geeze, you girls could make somebody feel bad. LOL I will make it a priority to get to it tomorrow if I don't get to it tonight. She is on top of me sleeping.

Huntington Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

So how come you haven't taught your older girls to use the camera? That would be a great camera shot, right girls??? hehe

Donna

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I do let them use it very sparingly. It was a little pricey and they want to live to see the teen years. LOL

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Earlier in the day on birthday day. She must have heard about the birthday spanking. LOL

OH how precious!!! I LOVE the one where you took the cake away....I don't blame her for the frown!! She is beautiful, as are all your lovely ladies!! Jo

New Iberia, LA(Zone 9a)

Great shots! She's beautiful!

Payneville, KY(Zone 7a)

What I thought was funny was, in the picture where she is taking a flower off the top, if you look to the side and to the back you see a few feet and it looks like they are ready to sink their toes in :) That cake looks sinful, I got sugar shock just looking at it....that's when you know its good LOL. Kathy

Huntington Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

Oh my GOSH!!! She is the most precious looking child. I love the look of that cake too, looks so chocolatey...yum yum. Jo, I can't believe you didn't say anything about that cake..hehe

Chele, thank you for sharing these wonderful pics with our DG family. One of these days, I promise I'm going to meet your whole family.

Seward, AK(Zone 3b)

Great pics! What sweeties... both the birthday girl and the cake!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Thanks so much girls. I am so glad she will never remember her first birthday. Soccer has started and the kids have their social lives....we had a lot to do. We went out and bought her birthday presents and her birthday dinner and got cake mix and icing. My eldest was going to make cupcakes but messed around for hours getting her homework done. By the time I gave up and was going to make it, I realized we were out of eggs. My poor husband had to run out and buy one already made after working his 12 hour weekend shift. Of course the one called "1001 chocolate chips" called his name. He swore Maddie had asked for it. LOL I had already bought marbled ice cream.

LOL I saw all the toes in the pic! I swear! They never came anywhere near that cake! People have been killed for less. They were between me, I mean Maddie and chocolate!! :)

It is both endearing and shocking to me, that my friends here have been through two pregnancies and two one year birthdays with me. :) I think the fourth, Lillie, was about 1 year old when I joined. She will be 6 soon. Everyone tells me the older you get, the faster time goes. They weren't lying!

Belleville, IL(Zone 6b)

First birthday pictures and kids eating spaghetti for the first time are my favorites. She looks like she is thinking that it is all hers. LOL
If she knew she had to share she may have taken a bigger first grab. LOL
I just love those blue eyes! And she shares my birthday so I can't foget when she turns a new year every year.

N.C. Mts., NC(Zone 6b)

Oh I love em. She is so sweet. You have kept smiling with all her pictures.

Great pictures!! She has the best expressions on that beautiful face. I agree, that cake does look yummy.

Crossville, TN

So-Cal...how could I eve SEE a chocolate cake when I am looking at beautiful Maddie???

I did notice that in the picture "Steady Steady"...that does not look like a chocolate cake so it must be the marble ice cream....LOL Jo

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

That's what I'm talkin' about -- Loved these shots! That cake looks WAY too yummy, Elsie, you're right.

Moab, UT(Zone 6b)

Wonderful story pics. What a darlin'. Time DOES go faster 'Chele, wait'll you get to my viewpoint. LOL

the cake was more photogenic than cupcakes and with all that chocolate on top it's a good thing there were ONLY 1001 chips inside. LOL

So nice of you to share your family with us on DG. I'm about to start my second year here and this wonderful sharing of life is the 'why'. ~Blooms

Moab, UT(Zone 6b)

With all that chocolate on top it's a good thing the cake had ONLY 1001 chocolate chips inside. LOL

She is adorable... of course you knew that. The picture story, with her facial expressions is wonderful.... She'll be a star. Ooops, she already is.

Thanks for sharing the day with us. I'm about to start my 2nd year at DG and this on line family is the reason. I could get gardening info from other sources, this warm fuzzy welcoming in is only found here. Thanks, 'Chele for the treat. ~Blooms

Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

Hey I thought Craig made all the cakes around there. lol Great pictures. She is sure growing and getting prettier everyday if that's possible

Golden, CO(Zone 5b)

It's no wonder you have six, Chele, they all are so adorable. How could you not want more? Each one darling, and each different. It'd drive me nuts wondering what I'd be missing out on by not having 'just one more'!
