Well do I feel stupid. Here I had the honor of chatting with you for a few minutes and didn't even say Happy Birthday let alone sing it LOL...No wonder you got buzzed the the house. I bet the lovely ladies in your life had birthday cake and lots of surprises waiting for you.

Marcia...I think the reference to PINK may come from this. (not sure though! GW has a good memory and maybe I had told her this in person once!)

According to the Mother, she had previously given birth to boys, twice. She was sure this third child would be a girl and she planned accordingly. However, upon inspection, it was soon discovered the mother was mistaken!

Baby ‘Shoe was immediately swaddled in a pink blanky! Pink booties were placed upon his feet, a pink baby hat positioned over his pinkish-red hair, and he was then gently placed in a pink bassinet! It was just too much for the poor boy! (All that “pink” was compounded by the fact that all the nurses would walk by and say, “Ohhh…such a cutie pie she is! Cootchie cootchie coooo!” This was always accompanied with fingers pinching his cheeks, thus causing those to match the surrounding!

Needless to say, Horseshoe survived early Life and now resides on MoonDance Farm in the great state of North Carolina. An avid gardener/greenhouse grower, has-been musician, and wanna-be writer, he continues to enjoy all the colors of the rainbow, except PINK!
