Help finding florist clippers

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

I had some Floraline florist clippers. They were small, orange clippers that would cut through anything, even metal strapping. I have been unable to find them anywhere although at one time I found them through Google. I liked them so much that I thought about buying several for family members for Christmas. Can anyone help me find them?

Hi Woodspirit,
Is Floraline the brand? I tried doing a search and all I found were sites about ceramic stuff. I also found the Floraline website but they make all the refrigeration & plant stands the florists use....no clippers. I also did searches for florist cutters, clippers & shears since people call them differently. Anyhow, these are the ones I did find. You'll have to ask the vendor what brand they are since they don't really state. Good luck in your search.

BTW, just curious but where did you buy your at? Probably a dumb question but did you already try there?

Clauss makes florist scissors: http://www.claussco.com/indexx.htm

Several companies in the Watchdog carry florist scissors and shears:
Frostproof Growers: http://davesgarden.com/gwd/c/2014/ (Felco)
Walt Nicke's: http://davesgarden.com/gwd/c/874 (Felco, Floral Art - maybe that's it?)
Rittenhouse: http://davesgarden.com/gwd/c/1833 (Canadian, but hey - if they turn out to be the only source of what you're wanting ;o)

Terry, the ones at My Good Scissors look like the same brand name, just not the exact ones I had. However, that doesn't matter, they are close enough. The only difference is the shape of the blade.
Gemila, yes the name Floraline was used by McCoy for his vases and has nothing to do with the clippers. But the ones I used had "Floraline" imprinted on the handle. I think I got the ones I had free with a shipment of plants. Maybe Jackson & Perkins? I really have no idea... but my spousal unit and I found they were excellent and would even cut metal strapping.

Maybe you should contact J&P and ask them. Just a thought. Jeanette

I'll try. I know they gave away some strippers a couple of years ago. They strip all the leaves and thorns off below the point where you attach them and then slide the stripped down the stem.
I have e-mailed My Good Scissors website to ask the brand name of theirs but I swear, it looks like them with slightly different blade configurations.

This place has many different kinds of pruners, might be worth taking a look. I didn't see any listed as Floraline though.

I'm beginning to think Floraline has sold out to another company as I used to be able to Google them but can't now. The ones at My Good Scissors look just like them, though, but the brand name is different.
I'll check out that website, however. I think they were also referred to as "bunch cutters."

Fiskars has some too, which might be worth a look. I've been very happy with their other gardening tools. And they're even orange! ;-)

You might want to contact this company, which appears to make floral displays. Perhaps they could let you know if they gave some away as promotions and who their supplier was:

Check at a local wholesale florist. It is a good chance they will have them or something close.
