Here is an interesting fact I just learned today and thought I'd pass it along.
Did you know that there are more plants listed on the U.S. Endangered List than all the animals/critters listed combined?
Add up all of the mammals, birds, reptiles, fishes, snails, insects, clams, etc. and they will total 390 species as of 1/1/05. Look for flowering plants and you'll find that for the same date, 571 species are listed.
I just thought that was interesting. Some of the information regarding plants is so carefully guarded that it has been removed from the web to ensure collectors and/or any other people don't try to harvest them.
Here is the website for the Flowering Plants...

Endangered species
A lot seem to be Hawaiian plants. Are there any plants in Maine that I'm trying to wipe out that I shouldn't? Frank
Frank, the people from the USESA said you must send all plants you want to wipe out to me. Don't fight the system man- you'll never win, muhahaha.
I don't know a lot about individual states, Frank. You'd have to check out the listing to know for sure. I'm pretty sure it says that all hostas need to be sent to my address in OK, though. :)
Hehehe
[Emily Litella voice]:
"What's all this about endangered feces?
Wha'?
Nevermind."

Okay, my question is, how do I get a government funded greenhouse to grow all these species and well, anything else I can fit in there? LOL
The link that smilin32 gave (above) .. when clicking on a particular species - the 'status details' attempt to break the species down to the particular affected range/s and zone/s ...
Dogzilla ... ... lol ...

Badseed, maybe that wacky guy in the question-mark suit can help you. (Have you seen his weird quasi-infomercials?) Strange dude...but if there's a grant for your greenhouse, I'm sure he'd be happy to help you get the money!
Badseed ... is your question .. more along the lines of >
' how does one get the gov't to FUND ones efforts to salvage such endangered species of plants .. in ones own established or (to be constructed) green house ? ' ... lol ...
Most seriously .. there is most likely some type of grant program that is already (or, will soon be) available - to do just such as this, tho'!
