I don't see a Media forum anymore, so I thought I would toss this out for discussion here.
My hubby and I went to see this last week. It was so great; the music was beautiful, costumes were to die for, and the sets were fabulous. I haven't enjoyed a movie this much in quite sometime. The plot or story itself was so tragic but a great story nonetheless.

Have you seen it? What did you think?

Haven't seen it yet - but want to. Saw the play twice and loved it both times. I expect I'd love the movie as well.

I loved the movie...I never saw the play as much as I always wanted too, but the movie certainly follws the soundtrack pretty much to the letter.

I listened to the book on tape once. I really want to see it.

A friend of mine saw the operatic stage performance and says it is outstanding. I can only imagine how much more spectacular it would have been to see in person. Wow. Gardenwife and mbock, you are in for a treat, do make an effort to see it.
