You think I can get a little gardening done this year?...LOL Check out the new tractor w/rear mounted tiller. I can't wait to put it to good use. Oh, and that loader is awesome :)

Oh...and it came with a definite MAN feature...a turbo diesel engine :) Now I need a turbo in my truck!

hczone6, you are gonna love playing with the new tractor. tiller on back will deff shorten the garden tilling time, and the loader on front is a back saver, plus can use for a lot of other jobs also. what kind of shifting do you have, and what size enjine? is that a 6" depth tiller? also width? do you have 4 wheel drive with ya tractor? a wonderin mind....... puldeau

Hi, it's the 12x12 Power Reverser transmission - 12 forward and 12 reverse gears, switch from forward to reverse by flipping handle on column, no clutching needed. It's a 43HP turbo diesel engine. Not sure on the tiller depth without looking it up, and it's 55" wide. 4 wheel drive was standard on the new '20' series John Deere tractors (it's a 2004 model year). I've played a little already and I know it's going to be LOTS of fun as well as useful for the 18 acres we care for.

Wowsers HC !! .. She's a mitey N I C E new play toy !! However .. I gots a bone to pick witja ..
I 'resemble' that remark thar .. (heehee) Whatcha mean by >

Ref: ... it came with a definite MAN feature...a turbo diesel engine :) ... ?

( *chucklin' and grinnin' here! * ) .. The diesel would sure seem (to me) .. to be the obvious choice for a dependable work horse .. in a tractor or a truck - fer most any knowledgeable male fellers AND, us women femalurns too !!! .. HEE!

The diesels are the power houses in engines .. And, with far less maintenance, and far superior longevity! And go plop 'turbo' into the formula - is jes simply the delectable butter creme icing on the diesel cake !!

And she'll still be up and running just as well, by the time baby Allan is ready to crawl behind the wheel and the controls !!! Heck, she'll jes be gettin 'broke in' good - when it's 'his' turn at the helm !! .. hee ..

She's truly a beaut HC ..

hc,
Can I borrow your tractor and front-end loader to move a very large boulder to my yard?
Been trying to get DH to drag it home for me for 15 yrs!! LOL!!

Beautiful tractor.

Thanks :)

If you were close enough, sure :) I've only had it out a few times since we've had it (about 2 weeks). It's been too wet lately. Also, having a baby sort of eats up a lot of my time...so I'll have to wait until spring before I can really put it to good use.

John Deere green with envy here. I have a 300 lb. piece of white quartz in the woods I need to get closer to the house. Frank

In boy scouts a trick was to send a "tenderfoot" to go get a sky-hook. Guess we could use one now. Can't really justify hiring a Sikorsky sky crane. Whatever happened to all humans "learning" telekenisis? Oh, well. Waiting for more snow. Frank
