Silent Auctions and the Angel Fund

Buried Treasures has volunteered to donate some plants for a silent auction at the South/Central Florida Roundup happening on Feb 19, 2005.

Can someone please give me some tips on how I should work this,i.e. starting bids, a link to a place that explains about the Angel fund and where I would send the monies that we take in.

Perhaps you should discus this with Dave. It was mentioned in another thread that the GAF is quite large at the present time because of the quilt raffle.

Molly, if this doesn't have to be a money raiser, we could have good ole fashion "door" prizes. This is done offten at organizations. Everyone gets a two piece ticket of which one is kept by member and the other goes into a slotted box. Then tickets are drawn from the box for winners. Sometimes these tickets are sold and some times they are passed out one per person, including guest of members.
Along with Burried Treasures, I'm sure myself and others would gladly participate in donations so more than one prize would be available.
Just a suggestion.
