Got another minute?

My granddaughter, Haley, cheers at Harrison Central High School. Her squad won State and is going to Nationals in Florida. Tommy Hilfiger is having a contest naming one squad in the nation the All American cheerleading squad. Schools all over the US were notified to enter by sending in a tape of the squad's routine. Out of hundreds of tapes sent in, Haley's squad was in the sixteen squads to be in the contest. Here is how it works: the first week, eight teams are eliminated, the next week, four eliminated, then two, then it will be between the remaining teams. To vote, go to www.tommy.com, then click on News and Events at the top of the site, and vote. Only one vote per week,, for each week, if they are lucky enought to make the final weeks. You can also see the routine tape that they submitted. This team has worked really hard and they are looking forward to competing at Nationals. The prize from the contest is their expenses will be paid entirely (which sure will mean a lot less car washes!) Plus they will get $10,000 for their school. Any help you could give us will be greatly appreciated!

Roz, there is a problem with your link. You have a comma at the end of the link and it causes it not to work. I can go there manually, but if you want the link to work, you need to edit your post and take out that comma at the end.

It looks like your granddaughter's team is winning by 50 votes. I'll keep voting weekly too :-)

I voted I think. My computer is very strange today. I could not look at any of the video but I trust eveyones judgement here. When I voted I just got a blue screen should I have gotten some, thank you for voting or something?? Maybe I will boot and try again.

Put my votes in, as well as my kids, and 3 dogs.

They're in the lead and look to be a shoe in for the 1st cut at least, though one school is right on their tail.

I understood that only eliminate half this week, so as long as they're in the top half, they're okay. Right? But I'm wondering, next week, does the voting start back at 0 again, or continue from the score from this week?

PLEASE READ concerning the Tommy contest for the cheerleader award: Some of the schools put in a program that would generate fake email addresses (and votes) at a very fast rate; hence, the people at Tommy Hilfiger got them and will restart the contest on Tusesday, with everybody getting zero votes and starting all over again. It did seem strange to us that some of the schools , like three of them, had 20,0000 votes nearly overnight, and I suppose it is possible, but seemed unlikely. We are glad that Tommy found this out and make it a fair contest. I hope you will all take the time to vote again, and I do appreciate it. The new voting starts on Tuesday, Jan. 11, and on Tuesday, Jan. 18, twelve teams will be eliminated; on Jan. 22, two teams will be eliminated, and the final team will be the winner on Jan. 23. If we get lucky enough to make the cut on Jan. 18, then we will get the chance to vote again, and we can vote each time some squads are eliminated.

Thanks for updating Roz....now if Tommy will disqualify the teams that cheated!!!!!

Roz, on the link in your first post there is a comma. All i do is remove it before i hit send. Maybe you could edit your post and remove it? It should work after that.
On the tommy sight, on the top right hand corner there is a big red clickable box that will take you to the video pages.

Roz, I will vote next week. I too am happy that tommy found out that there was some funny business going on.
