Post your favorite brug of 2004!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

If you do not have one of your own yet, post someone else's photo that caught your fancy this last year. Just make sure you do not put your copyright on it (so change your Dave's automatic setting if you have it where it puts your copyright on it) and be sure to give them credit for the photo in your text.

At first when I was thinking about this, I thought I didn't have any good ones, then when I went back over the year, I had such fun. I finally settled on one that had a lot of color in the photo that I had taken in October. I can't wait for the summer to be here again.

This is Sexy Lady, a Susie hybrid that gave me great joy this last year..

I don't know who submitted it, but there was a picture sent into the contest that was taken of, I think it was Frosty Pink, through an arbor in the fog. That picture deserves to be on a calendar. It was beautiful. Wish someone would send it in. Jeanette

My favorite is Day Dreams, the second pink double in the US, thanks to Monika sending just the right seed. LOL! I did have a couple of seedlings from Kell, one from Susie, and one of my own that I liked a lot too.

Scooterbug, I found it last night and because it was late I couldn't figure out how to bring it to this thread. It was December 1st. Pink Insignis. Guess I will go find it again and see what I can do with it. If not I will at least get the name of the person for you.

I don't have really great brug photos, so can I say which ones I liked best of the rest of yours. I was overwhelmed with the red one of "Died and gone to Heaven".. Loved the pink double that Brugie posted above. And also Gretchen's photo of Banana Split. Nice to see all of them again. Donna

Oh my, a walk down memory lane. I had totally forgotten your Banana Split Gretchen. The name is as goods as the brug. I love them both.

Monika, as usual, your brug is exquisite. Look at her tendrils.

And Brugie to think we have that brug here in the states makes my heart beat faster.

LOL Dick, I debated on that one also. If she blooms so dark this summer, she will be my favorite. The problem I had with her was I was so afraid I would lose her, I treated her differently and so did not get so many flushes. This year she will be front and center right out in the sun. Sexy Lady was so easy in all that she did. Grew fast into a beautiful allee tree, bloomed in huge amounts constantly, had color changes all summer long, had huge flowers, no bugs and podded at a glance. The perfect brug.

Doris, I need to go back and look at what that one was. Rosamond? I think I sent you a cutting of Rosamond, so you are in luck! Look at Loretta's pic, I sent you a piece of L'A didn't I?

Scoot, I have never seen your favorite in person. She looks so pretty.

Gloria, that could be a favorite to me too, LOL. Is it L'Amour? Loretta's is such a beauty the why L'A holds herself.
