After Christmas Shopping ....So What Bargains Did You Get ??

I've just begun to shop..... chores to do first. I'll tell you when I get back

I can't think of anything I need. Lol. I am going to go by Lowes to get cheap Christmas cactus and then am headed for the BEACH!

Coldwater Creek sent me an e-mail for 50% off their entire site. I got two pair boots for the price of one. Other than that - haven't really shopped much. Going to this afternoon though. I'm forbidden to buy anymore decorations until I have all of mine organized and all - which I'm going to do as I take them down this year. I've got boxes I don't know what's in them........

I got craft ribbon in holiday colors at Walmart. Some of them ended up being 90cents a roll. My sis in law taught me how to make my own bows for next years packages, and I'm really going to enjoy doing that.
I also got a couple of boxes of Christmas cards for next year. My husband and I are planning to go into Dallas tomorrow. I'm going to see what I can find at Hobby Lobby and Michaels. I may have more to write tomorrow. I'm so excited.

The best after Christmas bargain I've ever gotten was the year after I got married. I had a little 4ft tree that I was ready to get rid of, but we went ahead and used it for our first Christmas together. After the Christmas season was over, we went to Walmart, and got us a really nice prelit 7and a half ft tree for 75% off. This is the second year we've used it, and I'm still very proud of it, and the deal we got. We should have it for many more years to come.

I got some great table cloths for a buck apiece that I will be sewing up to use as drapes for my front windows. I am so tired of broken, dirty blinds.

Isn't there a candy factory in Paris? I think i remember someone telling me they were from paris and the candy/chocolate factory was their claim to fame?

Not that I know of, but I'm not from here, so I could be way off too. There is a Puddin hill Chocolate factory in Greenville.

Reminded me I have a box of chocolate covered cherries tucked away... bought them for 45 cents at an After Christmas sale.

AHHHHH yes, the cello cherries that i horded and hid...now where DID i put those things, lol???????

Speaking of After Christmas purchases.... I got these cute little tubs (party tubs) for $1.50 each at Wal-Mart. I'm planning on using them for my plants in all sorts of ways. For baby water plants, soak pots, waterproof trays to protect my hardwood floors with wintering over plants, etc. etc. They are just the right size for me to be able to handle: bottom 15" diameter, top 19" diameter and 8 " tall.

I love these party tubs!! I drilled holes in some of them and plants my Brugmansias in them. They are great will not tip over in the wind!!

This year our Xmas theme will be teddy bears.Every year we try to pick something different. When the kids were little alot of ornaments were fruit,cookies and candies. I try to get 2 or 3 little teddybears every week. Got some teddybear place mats at ayear sale for 10 cents each 2 weeks ago. I love to decorate for Xmas.
