I would be very interested in suggestions/recommendations on what type of fabric barrier to use for my vegetable and flower garden, (type of fabric, weight, etc.) to control weeds and grass. Grass being the bigger problem.
I plan to use wheat straw as a mulch on top of the fabric in the plant beds, and wood chips on top of the fabric on top of the fabric as a walking path between the plant beds.
I would also be interested in where on the internet I can purchase the recommended fabric.
Any assistance given would be most appreciated.
Thank you,
Larry

Weed and Grass fabric barrier
I just use old newspapers in my veggie garden...about 8-10 layers of sheets and then straw on top of that. Works well for the whole season, then tills into the garden come Fall and adds to the tilth of the soil. Free, and easier on the environment.
