Any news??? I am just an overgrown kid. Can't wait to find out if "we" won.

LOL, its killing me too..Ive called her a few times and shes trying to remain positive but then she'll say well, they havent called, and i'll tell her BUT they havent updated the site yet either.
Then i made her laugh when i told her that it may be something like Publishers Clearing House and the whole crew will show up at her house......she said "eeek!!!!, lol, guess she either has to put on her face or clean the living room, lol

Well durn, she called just a bit ago and said that she came in 2nd. She wanted me to thank every one of you for voting so often!!!!
SHes kinda bummed, but did say "Nothing ventured, nothing gained"....thats my girl, lol. She now has her eye on the backyard makeover later this year, lol

GOSH!! I was certain we'd get a win for her. No 2nd place prizes?? Now what kind of contest is it that doesn't give a 2nd and 3rd place? Let us know when and where to vote on the backyard contest. That one is sure to get the gardeners on DG going, eh?

Aw shucks 2nd place but I love her spirit one of my favorite saying is: the only sure way to lose is not to try at all. The backyark contest sounds right up our alley

If so, I could have made the difference if it had not been for problems with my telephone service. DADGUMMIT anyway!!!!!!! What a bummer!

I believe she meant 'seven hundred and fifty something, wasn't sure what.' That would put her well in the lead.

It was 75somethingish ..i put the ? because i didnt remember what the exact number was. The winner was ahead by almost 200 votes.
Of course i thought after it was over that i could devoted an hour or so for a few days and come up with a gazillion yahoo addies. Hindsight is always 20/20 tho.

what a bummer jen. really....I think all of us should descend on Lisa's house and do one of those "day makeovers" you know how they do on those shows.....If I were any closer...LOOK OUT!!! of course, Ms. Jen couldnt have fun with us, cause she would be in charge of getting lisa out of the way... I can see the beehive of activity! oh well, sorry I'm not there.

Well, She DOES drive to new orleans every day for school. Its about 75 miles one way. She normally leaves early morning and gets home around 5 or so. She also does sleep over during exams and stuff.
I couldnt imagine driving 150 miles a day.

After reading her story, I'd say they're pretty deserving too. Poor guy didn't even see the house!

I sure am sorry she did not win. If there is another contest later, we will all make sure we vote and get everybody we can think of the do the same thing. Tell her we all feel bad for her. What a disappointment!

I'll bet there were a lot of military friends voting for Samona (the winner). Like I said before, a backyard make-over is more up our DG alley anyways!!! Keep us posted on the next one MsJen and be sure to post here if you start another thread so all of us will find it.

Well they've caught the cheaters voting for the cheerleaders and voting will restart soon. Could not watch the videos

That's a shame that some people can't play fair. I hadn't heard about this yet since the voting on the cheerleading was to weekly.

My gosh, what some peeps will do! (hey roz, wasn't you was it? lol) I am glad they caught it and I will start voting again after the 11th.

DARN IT! How did I miss this? I could have voted from all of my families emails and had the girls at work vote.

On the backyard makeover, if we need to vote, please post on several threads! I think we can do it for her, but we have to get the word out so people will know when voting begins.
