I have a Question about the DG Newsletter

Northern, IN

I was enjoying my morning ritual of reading the DG Newsletter that comes in overnight and something caught my eye.

In the listing of Forum activity, all the Forum names usually appear in blue type. Occasionally, one or more are in green type. My question is why?

Vines and Climbers was the sole green Forum listing in my DG Newsletter this morning and I haven't been in that forum for many weeks.

Just curious.

Threads and forums change from blue to green once you've viewed them. They go back to blue when one of two things occurs:

a) someone else posts (making it new again); or
b) your computer's history is cleared (you can do that manually or scheduled maintenance.)

Thanks to the "magic" of computers, your newsletter also indicates which forum(s) have no new activity as of the time the newsletter ran.

Excuse my question.

I did make a post in the PDB on my Dropmore Scarlet Honeysuckle and I'm sure that qualifed me for the green type in Vines and Climbers.

I guess I forgot just how great this DG software is.

This is just an FYI and a first for my -- My DG Newsletter was quarantined with offensive words ......

Who's your ISP?

I just took a peek at that particular edition, and I think it was probably because of a few unusual pepper variety names....I wouldn't think those would necessarily rise to "quarantine" level, though.

Terry,
I'm sure it wasn't anything actually offensive..... but in case more and more letters are getting filtered I just wanted to let you know that it occurs....

We do appreciate the heads up. Hopefully (fingers crossed) we catch most out-and-out "grafitti" before it is in the database (gotta get used to calling it PlantFiles!) and into the nightly digest. But occasionally things to slip by unnoticed, so anytime something catches in someone's filters or you see something off-color, we are glad to get a nudge to take a look.
