backtrack of threads

Rethymno, Crete, Greece(Zone 10b)

Dave,
I would appreciate any help on how to track posts on various threads. The only way I understand is by search, where I use my name - and it constantly misses some.
Is there a better way??

e.g. searching for "Dimitri" always leaves out my posts to two dracunculus threads.

With thanks

Dimitri, you can click on "watch this thread" at the top, and you'll get an e-mail alert each time there's a new posting on the thread. You can do this on any thread, it doesn't matter if you started the thread or not. Does that help?

Also, go to your member page (click on "dpmichael's Page" in the menu) and then click on "My Threads" to view the threads that you started.

Thank you both.

it seems more efficient to go through email, although a bit fiddly.

Dimitri

Dimitri,

I made some changes to the search engine for you today. You can now search for somebody's username and it will also search for threads started by that person.

Dave, I thank you a lot.

you really are a virtuoso - from a little programming I did in the late eighties, I can say you are now in a programmer's paradise, because (a) you see your work thriving day by day, (b) you are in constant touch with the clientele, and (c) you are in deep knowledge of the topic you cover. The only hiccup is there is no money in the game - unless you benefit indirectly, for which again the creation of DG is a huge investment, yes??

Bravo!!

Oops!! Cucaracha ("bug") - DAVEEEEEEE!!!
I search my name "Dimitri"
the results bring up a list of correct threads.
BUT the threadstarter appears on the list as "JustmeLisa"!!
perhaps $codeno &codename etc... it's hiding there, big like a huge potato, somewhere between two commas
Cheers
Dimitri

Dimitri,

You must search on your username, which is "dpmichael". That will help.

Best,
Dave

Thank you, Dave, I 'll do that. Still, if I have time to find a screen catcher that I have somewhere, I may be able to send you a sample of the bug I mean. Nevertheless, the list of threads is now full and correct.
Dimitri

Oh, I see what you mean Dimitri.

I think I've fixed this one. Try it out and let me know.
