Plant Comments

I know you guys are busy! I just thought I'd bring this up.

I see alot of plant comments in the database like:

"Neutral

I really want this plant and can't find it anywhere, can you please send me some if you have extras. email @ email. com Thanks, Peter".

This isn't a comment about the plant... it doesn't help when you're looking up info and it just takes up space. Besides, the plant rating is then void b/c the rating doesn't reflect the said subject.

I'm not certain about this, but I'll tell you what I do. I report it as an error and let admin decide. I think we get these comments because it is a sort of back door effort for non-subscribers to make contact outside the forums... just a guess. At any rate, as you say, it adds nothing to the PDB.

It's even a little annoying I have to admit.

I'll watch the thread and in the mean time I'll report just as you suggest.

Yes, absolutely report them to us as errors.

We can remove them and send a note to the user (if the comment is fairly recent) to explain what the comment section is for, and steer them to the forums, the seed trading features and PlantScout if they are seeking a specific plant.
