DG 2004 Virtual Christmas Tree Friendship Patchwork Quilt

Northern California, CA

At the urging of "eyes" we invite you to contribute any and all images to this year's Virtual Christmas Tree Friendship Patchwork Quilt.

I didn't realize until just now that the link to last year's virtual quilt was dumped when I redesigned my website last Feb. So after some major searching......memory is thin in spots......I found the image from last year on a backup drive in storage. Whew!! Don't remember what the page looked like, but Kell said it had music.....so I'm lookin' for the music, will repost last year's and tell you that now is the time to start posting images of the season that are special to you. Trees, ornaments, kids, pets, Grandma's house, sleigh bells, snow......what ever strikes your fancy. Join in and please invite your DG friends from other forums to join in the fun.

I can grab the images already posted for this year from last year's thread or you can repost here or both!

This little table-top tree is very special to me. I helped a group that was putting on a Festival of Trees by letting them use my office which is in an old mansion. The office was originally the butler's pantry and was located between the kitchen and dining rooms. The workers had to go around the locked office, down the main entrance hall and around into the dining rooms, very awkward. I put everything up in my office in the old glass-front cabinets.
When I came back to view all the trees (they were fully decorated and for sale to raise funds for the Children's Center - a place for kids who have to testify in court in abuse cases), my office had become a bake shop! I was delighted.
When it was all over and I came back to help with the clean-up, I was given this little tree which had a price tag on it of $100! I have altered it a little over the last 2 years, but is remains essentially the same. The theme is essentially purple and white. One of the best Christmas gifts I ever received...

It was hard to get the pic with a flash. The pine cones are actually silver, the snowflakes and sparkly white. But here is the odd decoration. It is clear beads sewn together with purple netting, very easy but very effective dangling down all over the tree. They are tied on with pink ribbon.

Oh, Wow. That's beautiful. Was it a real quilt or just the picture? I wasn't here last year, but I've posted a few pictures on the other thread before I realized it was last years thread. lol
I can post the ones of my tree, but I think I like the Christmas pictures I took of my three cats. You don't have to use them, I just wanted to show them...I'm very proud of my feline babies. lol

I know I took lots of pictures, and if you start getting lots of photos from other DG member, I want be the least bit disappointed if you don't use all of them.

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

jdee, I have that cat family christmas too! I also love mine. It's fun to see when someone else has the same thing you do, and we live so far apart
