Madison also got letter from Santa from her partner in exchange ,thanks again it was post marked North Pole
oh how cute! :)
I have to tell you a funny story. A few days ago, we received a package from the Ornament Exchange for Halee and Christopher. Also, that same day, both of them received a letter from the North Pole. Well, their Mom did not open them yet because we have been waiting for their brother Nicholas' ornament to arrive. Also, Nicholas did not have a letter from the North Pole. We have been trying to figure out how they got a letter from the North Pole. I was sitting there tonight and said "Nicholas still has not received a letter, neither has Tory." (All live in our household). Hmmm, I get to thinking, could it be that the letters came from the same person that did their Ornament Exchange? It made sense, so we have since gotten some letters together for Nick and Tory so that the box of ornaments can be opened :)
I come on here and read Tazzy's post. I should've looked on here to begin with!
Thank you to the Eric and Matthew Rabel and I will post a picture as soon as the box gets opened. BTW, Tory got hers too from tmbolin's child. Tina, I have to glue it, she was so excited with it that she dropped it and the eskimo broke off, I have to find some super glue :( It is adorable and perfect though, an eskimo on a star (and her Daddy is in Alaska right now).
Pictures will post soon. Thank you, Kathy, Tory, Halee, Nicholas, Christopher
I have to apologize to Patty & Linda. It seems I sent each the others personalized ornament and of course created some confusion & laughter on Patty's part. I'll have to send you both postage $$ & each others address so that you can mail them to each other. Will this work?? Even after all that checking and double checking I managed to goof things up. Sorry!
I happened to come across a website (by accident) that for $10.00 ea. would have a letter from Santa mailed to a child. I then did a search & found lots of sites that did the same thing. Some letters were better looking than others but most sold for 10 and only a couple sold for $5 ea. It then hit me that in years past I had read an article that said that for Valentine's Day, if you mailed your letter (w/ proper postage on it) in a sealed envelope to the postmaster in Valentine, IN., they at the PO would handstamp it with their official stamp and mail it off to the person who's name was on the address. Well, I started writting letters left & right. I did some for my son's classmates too. I put stamps on them, sealed them in an envelope & mailed them to the Postmaster in North Pole, AK on Dec. 6. I also included a quick note so the Postmaster would know my intentions & gave him/her thanks. I then started getting worried that they could arrive late but was amazed that they arrived so quickly! Whew! I'm sorry I didn't send one to Tory & Nicholas too. I shouldn've known they would feel left out.
BTW, Laura recieved her ornament from Nicholas. She loved it and quickly hung it on the tree.
Eric also received his reindeer & laminated ornament from Zeth (?) Bolin. He said it was cool! I'll post pictures of these as soon as I can. I've been a bit busy w/ the kids school & just got back from their school program. Have to unload all the photos from the dig. camera so I can take pictures of these. THANKS!!!!
(Eric is the boy in front row (red sweater), Laura is the second angel from the right)
Gemilla, What a sweetheart you are, i wish I had thought of that as well. Next year. I think the Santa letters were such a beautiful touch. Tory's father is stationed 15 miles from North Pole, AK at Ft. Wainwright. He just told us that. I said I wish I had known that before, we could have sent to Jim and he would have driven to North Pole and sent them from there for us.
Thank you again for your thoughtfulness. Kathy
Maison also received her Polly Pocket ornament from Halee. She loves P.P so it really was perfect. TY to Halee and G.ma Misty Meadows
Tina
