Wanda, LOL... my dh actually DID that when our daughter started dating... he swears it was a 'coincidence' that he just happened to clean hunting guns when her dates came... yeah right!
CLC Noviciate
Lots of bonding going on here!
So Precious.
Hey--that's why we have our men--so they can be protective of the young womenfolk. Right?
Moby--that's definitely one photogenic baby! She's beautiful in every one of her pictures!!
Seeing all these pictures makes me want to pick up the phone and order a cute little baby for myself! Or as my eight-year-old, Sam, would say, "I want a baby sister with a red bow in her hair!" Now, I gotta find a Create-A-Baby Workshop somewhere . . .
Hmmm. Clairelise--creating 'em is all the fun! Taking care of them is all the work. I don't want grandchildren until my daughters are ready to care for them themselves. I already put in my time. Then I can spoil 'em, give 'em back and declare: "You were just like that when you were little"! Should be fun to get them back for the past 20 years...
Hey, Moby we want some more baby pics!! Let's see how the little angel has grown this month.
Awwwww....what a sweet l'il piglet she is in that pic. Such joy!
Moby, she is just a darlin'. I bet she will be a joy to GrannyMoby's heart.... don't forget to take Christmas pics of our lil bulblet.... :)
I will ~ and I'll see if my dad can get a break from his Santa Claus duties to take a pic! He's terribly busy, you know! ;)
I will be watching for them... Merry Christmas, GrannyMoby!
Thanks, you too, darlin'!
Your dad is Santa Claus!!! Wow! Mine was just your average everyday joe.....you could make a movie of what it was like growing up with Santa Claus! Tee hee hee .....couldn't resist.
Watching and waiting for thos Christmas pics.
LOL My Dad is a natural! A gen-u-ine "ho, ho, ho!", natural belly, natural rosy cheeks... He was Santa at Wal-Mart for a couple of years and 'makes appearances' for several organizations.
Moby, would you please put in a good word for me with Santa? :))
I don't know if it would do any good Starr....I heard you're a lot like Tazzy and all she's gettin' is coal! LOL!
(Good to see you around, Starr!)
I put in a good word for all of ya ~ we don't try to be naughty, sometimes it just happens!
LOl, mgh ... my secret is out... ((((thanks!))))
Thanks, Moby, I knew I could count on you! ... and with me it happens a lot... ;)
She is a little doll, Moby!
Thanks, Terrie.
Only 12 more weeks until I have my grandbaby!
Good for you Terry! But don't tell my daughters----NO GRANDBABIES yet for me--let's get these girls thru college first so they can support my gardening habit when I'm too old to work.
That's why I take so many pictures of my garden, Wanda. I tell my three girls that they will need them to go by when I am too crippled to do the work myself! LOL
Mapping! How terribly thoughtful of you Terrie!
Don't know about you, Moby, but I plan to have that little granddaughter gardening by summer of '06. I'm looking forward to playing with the babies instead of raising them.
Oh heck ya!
been there, done that... and oh yeah! grandkids are a lot more fun!!! I have seven of 'em now! They are great! They call me Banna... no, Moby, not banana!!! lol My oldest grandaughter Katie, who is now 12(!!!) started it and it just stuck...
Too cute! I don't care what my grandchildren call me, as long as they call. :-)
Well, I found out that you don't really get to pick the name your grandkids call you. They do it for you. It seems that the oldest grandchild picks out some cute way of saying grandma and it just sticks... At least that is how it went in my family... lol.. My grandmother was called Gummy. My other grandma was called Mamaw.... And no I wasn't the first grandchild... lol...
That happened in my family too, Seems the first grandbaby couldn't say Grandma and called her Ganga.
My son dubbed my Dad ~ "Boppa" I always wondered how he came up with that, til I learned the in-laws were trying to get him to call the other grandpa 'Papa'.
What a little doll, Mary!! Who do you think she looks most like?
LOL She looks so much like her Dad, I don't think her Mom had anything to do with. She was just the delivery vessel.
Such a Sweetie!
Just look at her focusing in on those hands!! LOL.....just love d'em babies somethin'!!!! Got to see my 5-1/2 mo. old nephew this past weekend. Such a doll.....grown a lot since I saw him in early Sept. Laughing all the time at us old folks!
Moby.....she's an angel that's for sure!
I'm into "renting" my brother's grandkids--5 of them from 1 to 6. I can take them anywhere, spoil them shamlessly and give them back to their parents. And I get to go home and rest afterwards!
My older daughter Lizzie just came home to show me a free subscription that came in the mail: American Baby. Help! She was laughing & said she's going to put in her "due date" as November 2015. YES!
Smart girl!
Well, we are VERY fertile in my family--so I've warned the girls from an early age. Smile at a baby & you're pregnant!
One niece was told as a teen that she'd never had kids due to cysts that had scarred & blocked her tubes. A few years later, She got pregnant. The doctor said it was a miracle and put her on the pill. She got pregnant 11 months later. During her second pregnancy, complications damaged an ovary. Doctor said it was her last baby , and she believed him. Along came Jackson! Scarred tubes, one ovary & on the pill & she gets STILL pregnant! My daughters winessed it all and are duly warned.
Good.... We've told Dave's girls the legal marrying age in our house is 35.
Moby--love it! Bill said the same thing when the girls were babies. He gave up along time ago on chasing the boys away. Trouble is that I'm diabetic & an older Mom. If they wait that long, I may not see ANY grandchildren!
Good thing is that the girls have been old enough to observe the various ways their 16 close cousins have directed their lives here in town. My daughters babysit for 8 of my great neices & nephews that are under 6 years old. I could write a great soap opera with some of these stories...
