ncgardenaddict,On the pet site I saw that you were sprouting for the wee one's.

I bought Oliver some Broccoli sprouts yesterday and he loves them..

I've been searching the net looking for wheat seed and now I would like to do Broccoli...

I did call a dealer but, he had an answering machine . I wanted to talk with a real person!

Any clues as, to where to start.....

Oak Grove, MN(Zone 4a)

I'd start with the Plant Scout and the Garden Watchdog, bet you can find something.

Benton, KY(Zone 7a)

Seems like Johnny's used to sell in large enough amounts to use for sprouts.

So.App.Mtns., United States(Zone 5b)

Seeds of Change sells bulk organic broccoli seeds. http://www.seedsofchange.com/garden_center/browse_category.asp?UID=&category_id=108

Thank you all for the information.

I'll get on it today... I tried some of the sprouts that I purchases. at first I thought I was eating dirt! Getting use to it now.....

Darius, sure hope your feeling much better and the Doctor , has put you on the right track. You've been in my thoughts and prayers.. It's a lonely scarey journey when we go it alone... I'm sure it will be fine.

I alway's forget about the Garden Watch dog. Unwanted company upstairs!
Sometime's it stays much too long , the thought process Leaves, for a short time.
Thanks all

Johnny's is where I got mine Sandy! They have a great sprouter too - it's very easy to use.
They have other varieties you can try too - I got into it b/c they had Fenugreek seed which is a natural aid to help breastfeeding mothers.

Ooops did I just give out too much information? LOL!!!

Anyway, I 've had my broc seeds for 3 years now? Still have a ton left - big package!!

My son ate ALL my sprouted seeds last night I am so proud of him!! :-)) He just loves them - he loves them more than my parrots!

Got a laugh out of all your posts.
Especially laughed when I read "Breast Feeding Mother's!" Your another Hoot.
I have foot and moth disease also... Eventually you'll find that out.

I just don't like it. It tastes like dirt, musty... YUK! Oliver loves it. Buying it at the health food store would ad up to a nice sum at 3.99 for a small container.
If I have to I will but, sprouting my own I think I'd feel better with

Pins, that was so funny...
I have pictures of Oliver eating the sprouts.... Let's see a picture of your son eating it!!! Dare ya.

hee hee! I will get a pic as soon as I get more grown - only takes a few days. Course I drown and I mean drown his in Catalina dressing. I rationalize that the good of the sprouts are overridding the sugar in the dressing!

It's pretty funny watching him eat them too - they usually end up all over him...

Sandy, my son eating sprouts?!? He's 20 YO, so if sprouts are hidden in a pizza or Big Mac, I may get a picture of it. Otherwise, all bets are off. lol (Now, me, on the other hand - I just love alfalpha sprouts mixed with avodado and a bit of hot sauce. Yum!)

Oh Yuck!!!! I tried hiding sprouts in a cheeseburger, bad just bad! tastes musty like green mold!!!!!!!!But even the cats love it so, I'll keep trying. I know their good for you...Right now I'll take the greasey old cheeseburger smothered in fried onins, and peppers., salt peeper and mayo!
Hmmm good old Artery Goo... No Sprouts!
Sandy

I was thinking I sprouted some daylilly seeds... Could do the same with wheat yes/no? Put it on damp paper , shove in a jar with holes in the lid and pray a lot!
