All I want for Christmas is .........

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

someone to lovingly give me a hand... help me clean the flower beds and house, lift the things I can't lift, share smiles with me as we wash the windows and share silly jokes .....

What would you like for Christmas?

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

I'd like you to send that someone over here when he or she is done. ;)

Victoria, TX(Zone 9b)

I'd like to get home to share the holiday with my family.
Of course, thatalso means eating Mom's cooking and baked goodies. :)

Laughter. More laughter. And yet, more laughter.

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

AMEN!!!!!!!

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

I'd like to be home for Christmas....But since I cant be.....hmmm......cant think of a thing - lol

but laughter sounds like a good thing to have, and courage, and patience, and will power.....

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

......I would like to wake up Christmas morning, open the curtains and see snow falling, have my son say "yes, mom" the first time i ask him to do something, better yet, have him do something without me asking, ..

Actually, and more realistically, I'd just like to have a healthy Christmas.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I'd like to be Judy's neighbor! It would be great to have a friend to clean with!!

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

Badseed how GRAND that would be and BigDaddy99 is so wonderful with children.... he teaches them word games, makes them pancakes spelling out their names, tells them not to eat the beets because they are for "grow-ups", but maybe just this one time causing them gobble them down, he makes Barbie clothes, innertube floats on the pond, with wooden paddles designed by the children and the list goes on......

NW Qtr, AR(Zone 6a)

Geez a weezers Judy .. jes loan that hubby out to the rest of us .. fer a spell during the holidays!!
.. LOL ..
(only teasin' the both of you!)

Your hubby sounds like a 'keeper' too! .. hee ..

.. Don't it all make ya feel sooo doggone shamefully blessed tho' .. !?! ..

I belly-ache and grumble .. and my ol coot's got the patience of Job!!
I'd have fired 'me' .. a long time ago! .. hee ..

If we stop and think about it .. it sorta seems that there's not really too much else, that most of us could truly ask .. for Christmas ..

Pebble .. it jes sure troubles me so, to 'read' about your wanting to be able to be 'home' for Christmas ..
But I'll bet .. that betwinx the biggest majority of us folks, here at DG .. we can all do the next best thing that you've requested.
So, jes sit tite - the laughter and a whole mess o'sharing it .. will soon overflow your pooter screen, your home and your hearts.

Now, fer the patience - it's a no-go on my part! Haint got but nary a wee tiny morself of it, tucked back somewhere, for hard times. And, what I got . wouldn't do you no good, at'all anyway. hee .. And the courage .. wellll, that went out, and eventually flowed down my legs .. the first time I had to go outside at night here .. without a flashlight .. and I spyballed a Copperhead. The truly sad part .. was, it was mite bit difficult to splain to the hubby why my britches were 'damp' ... just from fighting a dang'd mean ol stick! .. hee

Tons of hugggeroonies and the very 'bestest' of Christmas holiday wishes to you Pebble ..

To you ALL !!

BigDaddy sounds like a great person! I'll pay the postage if you'll send him to me. :)

My great aunt always wished she had someone to sit on the deck in the evening and have coffee with her. I sure wish I could have found a way to work that out.

Judy, Happy Birthday! All I ,(and everyone else in Fl) want for Christmas is a new roof, new ceiling in my Fl room! Sooo tired if looking at this "blue roof", but thankful for it, and this huge hole in the ceiling! Got a feeling Santa is going to be late in Fl! LOL!

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

GagalinFl - Bless your heart!!

So you're running around singing "All I want for Christmas is my ceiling fixed".

May it be soon!!

Judy, so you are washing windows for your birthday? LOL.

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

I hope I get around to the windows, actually the glass portion of the doors, before I give out!!! I've been working on other projects and have neglected the house something pitiful, but today I start on getting it cleaned!!

Memphis, TN(Zone 7b)

I just want my family around me and have lots of fun.....laughter abounding. And - I'd like a clean house (and windows) - but life is short and family, friends and furbabies are more important...

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

Such big plans I had of cleaning house....... so I must confess:

I have done nothing but play on the computer here at DG all morning. It is so much fun watching "As The Garden Grows". I've never been a fan of daytime television but DG is entertaining, educational and can be so endearing. It could be a "true" reality television show!!! Thank you one and all for being here!!! You have brightened my day!!!

NW Qtr, AR(Zone 6a)

.. Judy .. LOL .. hun, there's still plenty o'time, to get things 'kick started' (should a body so desire to!) .. It's jes Monday, pray tell!! hee

I'm sposed to be getting our stuff packed for a lil trip south .. and I've not moved but very litttle, from in front of this pooter !! ... Tis a shame, yeah, but . . . . Oh well !!

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

magpy, you did have me laughing....
well, I didnt say I wanted my son home, cause i didnt think there was any chance that he would be up for the 24 hr trip, the 24 jetlag, for only 1 week, but just chatted with him online, and we are scheming....if he skipped school a couple of days....we could to it, he is young (16) and would bounce back from the trip, if our little plan would come together I would be the happiest mom in the world, heck...in the universe.....and we're not going to say anything for feal we'll jinx it, so mum's the word...and....I thought we could surprise dad and sister....my husband misses him something terrible, after our sunday night talks to him, he gets teary eyed and then we lament about the fact that we had to leave him in the states yada yada yada.
anyway, I need positive thoughts from everyone, so that this can happen....

so heres hoping for the impossible....

MD &, VA(Zone 7b)

I would love to finally have the house repairs fisnished from last years hurricane and flood!!! Sigh....

But I'll take the visit from my mom, she will be here for Christmas again this year. To have her and my DH healthy and with me, I really couldn't ask for more on Christmas. Though it would also be nice to have my dad, sister, and brothers here too ;)

Happy Birthday just a little late Judy!!!

Louisville, KY

Judy, just saw your post and a delayed Birthday Wish to You!
I am so pleased to read all the responses regarding your question: "All I want for Christmas..." The sentiments of the "heart" express the joy and love of the season; and, it is felt here at DG by so many. Every Good Wish to each of You with Love and Affection.

Thanks everyone for the Birthday Wishes!! It was one of the best ever!!

I officially became 58 years old but since I've been telling people that I was 58 for 6 months or so, the actual number didn't have an impact. Now I've started to say, almost 60. I nice soft, round number that rolls so easily off the tongue, a number I'm comfortable saying. I know there are probably many of you that think instead of "advancing my age" I should be scheduling a facelift and tummy tuck ... but that's just not ME!!!

Redlands, CA(Zone 10a)

All I would like for Christmas is for my two dear friends to come back from the Middle East for good. Also what I'd want is a good haggis, an Islay single-malt( something about 25 years old.), some good pipe music, and my family all around for Hogmanay. What my wife wants is to give me a third greenhouse so she can have her dining room bereft of all plants.( It has perfect exposure for my 50+ orchids)

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

bagpypr - I certainly hope you get your wish!!! Oh WOW 50+ orchids within touching distance, heaven!!!
