I was due for a change

Victoria, TX(Zone 9b)

I've moved! I am now located near the Gulf Coast of TX. Got me a new job (after a time without), and I'm temporarily settled until my new apartmen tis ready.

I am slowly settling in, and I'm thankful for the change. I'm way behind in the forums, but I'll catch up once I get my own PC back. This uni tI'm using now is a little cumbersome. I'm just thankful for having any internet access at all.

Getting a new job this holiday season sre makes all of the petty things in life melt into nothing Having my three furchildren with me, and having my dad along fro the long drive from SC to TX sure was great.

So I'm here, no longer in SC, and kind of thankful for that. I miss my house & yard, but never really felt welcome there. Here, I'm daily overwhemed by total strangers saying "HI" all the time.

Will be a infrequent dg'er until I'm all settled, but wanted to let everyone know Thanks for those of you who prayed me thru a lot of interviews, plane trips ,and plain ole stress

God Bless,
-Jennifer

Glad to hear from you, Jen! You'll be settled into your new digs soon, and make friends who will make you smile and spoil your critters. :)

Larkie, Allie and the cats are on a photo break untl we're in the apartmet At the house, I had a slow connection, and very little time to download. I'm going to try & improve at least one of the two of those.

Al just had a bath, & she's doing the goofy puppy dance all over the house and will keep it up until she's content she's dry enough. :)

Finally settling in here. Work is great, I was fortunate to have Christmas with my family. Finding myself a little more homesick than in the past, being here alone with everyone I've met at work busy with holiday gatherings. I'm hoping it gets better after Jan 1.

Critters are great, and still up to their normal nonsense. I've had to get plastic covers for every small cord near a phone for around here. Seems my one cat Hobbs doesn't like Mommy getting phone calls, so he chews through the phone lines & phone power cords. He hasn't chosen any other small cords in the apartment, so it's got something to do with the phone ringing while I'm not here, I guess...

Not yet settled with a church, but again, I think it'll come eventually.

So I'm here, will probably post more now that I am online at home...

Have you tried bitter apple spray on the cords? If not that, Vic's has kept my habitual plant chewers away from my croton plant -- I read about it at DG and smeared a little on the inside of the pot's rim. The cats just squinted at it and sneezed, then left it alone. Woo!

ooh.... vic's vapor rub .. NEVER thought of that.. I love it!

Great idea!

Bitter apple is good, but it only seems to work for 48 hours or so, then he'll get back at it .. and I can't stand the smell, so I'm a little hesitant to spray every 2 days ..
