I have some older downloaded Brug pics from the newsletter and I'm wondering if there is a way by using that full (and elaborate) DG picture name that I can now later get some more information about the picture e.g. possibly back to where it was originally posted.
Thanks.
Trace back to the original post using the full DG pic name?
Dave/dwdruley... if is very simple task. when u look at the newsletter. simply click on the "Subject" and it will take u to the original post. hth
That's how I regularly get the pics I already have but I'm referring to old pics from newsletters I've deleted. Is there a way using that long DG pic name to trace back?
Here is the first Newsletter that is listed in the archives.

You can go to EXTRAS....then click on the archived newsletters.
Jo
The answer to your question is - maybe. If you have saved enough of the picture's URL (link) you can probably find it that way. Give me an example, and I'll see what I can do to show you how to find 'em.
(Going back through the archived newsletters is only feasible if you remember the approximately date and you're a patient person...)
or u can watch the thread. another option is to bookmark the thread u want to go back to. i have created categories and folders on my bookmarks to get organized. it is much easier for me to find them that way. be sure to save ur bookmark files on a diskette. i have found that when there are file updates on Windows, my bookmarks change too. better safe than sorry, so to speak.
Thanks MaVieRose.
This is for Terry: The URL is Ronna_1040317620_665.jpg
Thanks.
Hmmm. You might contact Ronna - I don't show that she's added any images to the PDB - was it a "forum picture of the day" or one submitted to the PDB?
Going through Ronna's member page might have been the easiest way if she had submitted it to the PDB:

Scannign through her threads she's started, I don't find any correlation to the numbers in that string.
Your best bet, rather than saving pictures to your hard drive, might be to simply bookmark those you find particularly interesting - just be sure to give each bookmarked link a descriptive name so you can organize them.
Thanks Terry.
Dave
OK Terry, you say to bookmark a link. Is that the same as adding to favorites? And if not.... how do you bookmark? and if it is... then how do you give each link a descriptive to organize it. I hope I am saying it right! If not give to old age hehe Binky :))))
Yes, (at least in my world) bookmarks and favorites are the same.
When you click to add it to favorites or bookmark, you can typically name it whatever you wish. A default name appears, and sometimes that name is fine, other times I want to call it something that will be easier for me to remember and associate with a particular website or page.
Thanks Terry, Now I have got it. Just never thought about doing that. and its a real good idea. :))))))))
What a surprise to find my name in here! Dave, you have my email address, if you send the picture to me, I can probably ID it for you.
Ronna;
I was trying not to bother you again with another beginner question. I was trying to get the answer on my own and I finally did..
Thanks anyway.
The cuttings are doing great.
I'll stay in touch.
Best regards,
Dave
