It's snowing!!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I guess nothing says winter like snow!

Okay, no accumulation, don't think it's cold enough. But, it's snowing! Tiny little sparkles are flying through the air and dancing on the wind. The only time I feel like there HAS to be snow is on Christmas Eve. We'll be home and inside all day unless I send hubby out on the roof with lights. LOL

Happy Thanksgiving!

Wow...what a great thing for Thanksgiving! Hope you and ALL your family have a great day.

Thanks Connie! Are you and Mom gonna have a big old Turkey?? I hope you have a great day!

I got up at 4 and put the turkey on about 7. Of course the kids were all up about 6. Then the fire dept went around checking hydrants. After that, a huge buck ran up the street! Kids have been wound up and in rare form! I think the deer is thinking we are all eating turkey so he is safe. LOL

Gosh what fun! Maybe the hunters ran him away from his home....
We are having a big ole turkey breast but my fav part is cornbread dressing.
The girls sure keep your life exciting! Who gets the 2 drumsticks?

Mercy - deer running through the street...better than watching a televised parade, huh?

I hope you have a GREAT Thanksgiving 'chele (you, too weeds!)

My two oldest are old enough to sleep until I roust them out. DD is up and about, but she's halfway helpful and can stay out of the way the rest of the time. (Besides, I'm only responsible for the devilled eggs, rolls, pecan pie and fried peach pies...somebody else is doing the turkey, ham, and trimmings.)

Panhandle, FL(Zone 8a)

Happy Tday to you too Terry! My son lives in Portland so I will email him a picture of our turkey dinner...is that cruel or what????

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Where I live, nobody better be hunting. LOL It would be like a bad episode of CSI. LOL Plenty of woods around but plenty of houses too. I think they just come out looking for food. I have never seen a male that big though and the deer usually come in groups.

Fried peach pie???

Umm, the parade is on too. :)

My eldest two are meat snobs and usually want breasts or thighs. giggle They'll be sorry some day.

Actually the baby and I were up first and the rest straggled in with my husband losing the race. Now who is shocked by that??

Henderson, IA(Zone 5a)

MMMMMMMMMMMmmmmm-fried peach pies??? Sounds so good!! Hope you all have a peaceful lovefilled turkeyday!!!!!! I will be spending mine doing homework while my children go to the spouses families BUT LOOK OUT on sunday --we will ALL spend the WHOLE day TOGETHER--feasting-playing games-watching movies--and I'd much rather have the whole day instead of being squeezed in today!!!! So my day will be quiet-and I have tons to do--so am looking forward to it- One thing I am thankful for, are the 'new' friends I'm meeting here !! You all make me smile or laugh out load everyday-and that is a blessing!!
Have a GREAT day

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Badseed, you could be accused of 'buck passing'! LOL! Raining here, most of the snow melted off. Enjoy your white Turkey Day!

Mission accomplished: the pecan pie didn't burn, devilled eggs are chilling, peach pies are done; just need to make the rolls out and we're good to go.

Fried peach pies are a yummy (if heart-clogging) tradition in DH's family. (Recipe came from his paternal grandparent's side of the family tree.) We only make them for special occasions, and they're so rich, I can only eat about half of one (and we make ours smaller than the original recipe called for.) In case you're wondering, they bear NO resemblance to those individually packaged snack-size fruit pies, except maybe in calorie count and fat grams, lolol. ;o)

Y'all have a great and safe holiday!

Same to you, Terry!

We finally, just now, made it to the pumpkin pies. Mmmmm mmmm and mmmm!

The tree is up, the lights are on, now to get to the ornaments....

I have to work tomorrow! Boooo hooo I get to spend 6 hours with all those happy people fighting for the last whatever on sale. LOL
