Dave was kind enough to provide me with two new "alerts" you will start seeing in the Watchdog. One lets me mark companies as "closed" and the other is a blue question mark for those companies that may have closed, but we don't have enough information to say for sure.

If you spot an entry for a company you know has closed, or the URL doesn't work, please drop us a note (the "contact us" at the bottom of the page is perfect.) Tell us whatever you can - if it's closed, or just if the website link is not working.

If you come across a company with a question mark and you have an update for us, please contact us.

The Watchdog has grown by leaps and bounds since it was launched in '01 - more than 3,500 companies are listed, and more than 15,000 comments have been submitted. That means there's a LOT of information contained in there, and we want to make sure it stays as up-to-date and accurate as possible.

We just finished a mailout to all companies with an email address, asking them to look over their information and provide us with updates. Many companies reply to these annual requests, but many others don't. That means we count on readers to drop us a note with any changes they're aware of.
