Thanksgiving Contest Fun

after we ate, the big folks either took a nap or watched the Indiana Colts WIN the football

while the kiddies played Uno

Those are some cute kiddos!!! Is that a tree in the house??? I LOVE it - I'm looking for some trunks for my deck...

sherry it is a cabin at the lake, those "trees" are what holds up the roof, there are 6 of them

Yep, kareoke, I've been looking for 'posts' like that for a deck, on to the cement pond, off my barn deck. I should have waited for them when I built that deck, but they weren't ready, wrong time of the year, who knew??!! Thanks for the info, I LOVE yours!!!

also want to mention that we did this after a Tornadoe touched down in Greensburg Wed. afternoon, crazy weather pattern.

Oh Loretta -- thanks! You gave me a great chuckle! That scene takes place on my sofa quite regularly! My DH and little Lanny love to nap together in front of the tube...

Whew, Loretta, that's funny. They hate were they live, huh??!!

Merlin had some turkey too. But it's hard to tell if it made him sleepy. That's about all he does anyway. lol
Sherry, it is tough on DH and these pooches around here. lol

It just isn't a holiday to me without a little one sitting at the table with a teatowel tied around their neck to protect the clothes. Here's my niece Chloe chowing down on chocolate pie.

When their daddy asked Chloe's little brother Alex if he wanted chocolate pie, he said 'punkin pie', so here's Alex with his pie.

Here's a few taken at our youngest daughter's house Thanksgiving. These are our 4 of our granddaughters, Faith, 10, Madison, 10, Karigon, 7, and Reagon, 3. I don't think mommy had time to comb Reagon's hair that morning from the looks of it. lol

Somehow, no one took pictures of our oldest granddaughter, Amy, age 23, or our grandson, Payton, age 12, but here are our 4 daughters, Juli, Lauri, Amy and Becki. Notice I didn't give their ages, because they might kill me. lol

Our son didn't make it in from LA, will be home Christmas. Now you know what we have to be thankful for each year. Below are some pics of the dining room before we messed it all up. lol

MY Schlumbergera very graciously bloomed exactly on time this year. Thanksgiving Cactus always make me think of thanksgiving and that we have so much to be thankful for. i was at my daughters in Va for the week of Thanksgiving, did not have my digital with me. Sure wish I had had because she really set a beautiul table for 8 of us. She made the best cheescake i have ever tasted. It was a sweetpotato coconut cheesecake. It took her quite some time to make, we started Tues. evening, cooking the sweet potatoes. Then on Wed. she put it all together. Donna

Shelly221 beautiful sunrise. Sun is shining now here, but earlier it snowed enough to make the ground white, but now all has melted. Your photo of the dogs waiting sure reminded me of when I was at my daughters, and one of their dogs is also Jazzy. They were underfoot so much she finally had to put them in their cages.
