I couldn't believe she was rude enough to complain to them all when they did show up early! How ungracious and unwelcoming can you get? I would not dream of doing that to guests.

I don't think we can condemn California & vegans. I think that lady would have been rude if she lived in ANY state. Not a happy person!

I have some vegan friends and they aren't like that lady at all....I think Wanda's right....if you are happy within yourself, it shows....if you are not....well, it shows more.

There are obnoxious activists everywhere, you're right. Just seems like they're concentrated a lot in California because of the entertainment industry. I won't go any further. ;)

Or maybe California tolerates it more.

Iowa is a state of hunters--most of our kids learn at an early age. My daughters don't hunt, but they both have had bows & small guns for target shooting. We have 2 hunting dogs. I have a niece who is vegan for health reasons. Her children eat a regular diet.

Iowa's winters are so brutal that any "lightweights" who move here leave the next spring. We export to California.
