I have Saw Palmetto for SASE.

Ahhh..... I'm back. It feels so good to be back to DG. I've been a bit depressed lately. I lost a significant number of prized plants. I really have to work something else out here. I need to find a solution to my winter problem. That's what's kept me busy lately. I've been racking my brain on this problem. We'll see how things go. It's nice to see you again crimson. You'll be seeing more of me now that I've been feeling better. Between my dogs, winters and these hail storms, soon there will be nothing left of my plants. I guess I shouldn't complain too much since I do live in FL. Things COULD be a whole lot worse.

Yay!! You're back!

I'm sorry about your plants. :-( Maybe I have something you lost?
I doubt it- but you never know, hehe.
Would be glad ta share.
Were hoping to get the money together this year for a small greenhouse. I lost a few things myself that made me really sick. 2 of my brugs and corkscrew rush. :-( I try not to think of what else died- oh yes, my prone gardenia! Grrr.
You should have seen my bedroom this winter- I had to set up a trail in my room from the door to the bed. That's about all the room I had, LOL. Were in a single wide trailer- so it's small anyway. Add all those plants and man does it get crowded!

Don't worry- I'm sure you can recoupe some if not all of your lost plants on DG!

Don't be too depressed- there's lots to be happy about now. Everything is greening up and I saw a butterfly today- so that means you have them too!

What plants are you looking for? I might have something for ya!

I'm here ifin` ya need to talk.
Hope you get to feeling better soon!
(hugs)

Hugo, if there is anything I can help you out with just say the word.

Lisa, Jocie,
Thank you both so much. I'm better now. I think I was better when I initially came back on to DG.

Jocie,
Did you say you lost a gardenia? I have some rooted if you are looking for some to replace it. I think I have 5 or 6 different varieties.

Lisa,
I don't know if I ever gave you your gardenia. I found some variegated ones and got you one. I think you will like it. It's not something you see all the time. I know how you and I both like those "not so common" type things. They should be easy to root too so you can share.

I lost my Aristolchia gigantea. This was one of my pride and joys. I had rooted so many cuttings of it to give away at this years swaps and I think I may have lost every single one of them including the mother plant. I thought for sure that it would be fine outside during the winter but now I wonder if I lost it to something other than cold. I'm sure the cuttings were lost to cold since they were so small still. We'll see what happens. I had started collecting aristolochias. I'll have to get back on it to re-coop what I lost.

Crossville, TN(Zone 7a)

Yeah it was a veriegated prone gardenia. I got it last year at the swap.
It was odd- I thought for sure it would overwinter outside, it isnt a tropical or anything. Wonder what killed it.
To get another piece would be awesome!
I'm afraid I don't have any aristolochias. :-(

Hugo, the variegated gardenia sounds awesome. My gigantea has died back for the winter but it always returns. If it does not, dont dispare. Last year at the MG annual plant sale, they had them for about a buck a vine. Surely , they will have some more this year.

Crimson,
I can do some variegated gardenia for you too. That's pretty much all I have besides what I have already put in the ground. These have small leaves and look very lace-like. I'm hooked on gardenias. If you have any other stuff to trade I might be interested OR I'll gladly do SASE for you. Let me know what you decide. This is more than a rooted cutting. I would call it a small plant. Keep in mind that these are more of a mini-type gardenia (which is what I like most of all).

Thanks for the "hope" on the Aristolochia Lisa.

Are you guys going to make it to the Florala plant swap?

Crossville, TN(Zone 7a)

Heck yeah! Florala here we come, hehe. My mum and sister are gonna make it this year too!
Can't wait ta see you there!
Thanks for the gardenia!
