Anyone in touch with Melissa OHIO?

(Zone 4b)

Anyone in touch with Melissa Ohio? I sent her a suprise package of perennials recently but havent heard from her. Weve had the worst time in the past communicating with e mail and snail mail. Im not sure she got it .....should have sprang for delivery confirmation.......... thanks for the help. Greta

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Hi Greta,
I emailed her a couple of weeks ago and didn't get an answer. I also called her over the weekend and left messages at her home and on her cell phone. If I don't hear from her in the next couple of days, I will call her again. I imagine she is very busy with school and the kids. I'll go to her house to check on her if all else fails. LOL

cool thanks!!

Lenexa, KS(Zone 6a)

I hear from her off and on. I don't get regular replies to my emails to her, but she does out of the blue email me to let me know how she has been.....very busy! 'Chele I'd sure appreciate a post here too once you get ahold of her. Sure miss that gal!!!

(Zone 4b)

I never heard from her, its kind of late for a package of plants and the last one I sent never made it. Im guessing if she did get it, maybe she didnt have time to really deal with it. Oh well.! Theres always next year! Thats the nice thing about perrennials they just grow and grow.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I left her another message on her cell phone last night. I'm still waiting to hear back from her.

(Zone 4b)

I dont want to harass her, it was just a present. I hope youre calling to just say hi. Lol!!!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I keep leaving messages saying YOU want to talk to her. LOL No, really, I haven't talked to her in a month or so and she has been on my mind. Last time I talked to her she said she had a grueling class load. She also had a bit of an accident on a four wheeler. I'm sure she will surface when she finds a few moments. :)

(Zone 4b)

oh boy! I hope shes having too much fun and not the other way around!!!!!!!

Has her mom been okay? I know she'd been sick earlier this year.

Lenexa, KS(Zone 6a)

Kim - she took a DG hiatus a couple of months back and said she'd hopefully see us all online again in the Spring. She's on the last semester of her degree and graduates in Dec. Pretty hectic schedule though. She's not mentioned her mom being sick to me recently but I've not talked with her in a few weeks.

Melissa is wearing alot of hats right now: jobs, college & teens to ferry around . How does she do it? I would be a crazy woman. Oh, wait, I AM a crazy woman. Never mind.

Southwestern, OH(Zone 6b)

I'm a crazy woman too right now. I start student teaching Jan 3, American History and Psychology... I can't imagine how they think a crazy woman will be able to teach Psychology to a bunch of high schoolers. ;-)

Bren, I WISH I graduated in December, that is just the end of my classes, I still have to student teach for 3 months, then graduate in May. :-)

My mom is good (for her) we had our thanksgiving yesterday, thanks for asking Kimberley.

Greta, THANK YOU... I called Michele tonight, and she told me you had sent something. It was on the porch behind a bench. I wasn't expecting anything, so it wasn't noticed unfortunately. I will plant it, and see what happens, it's really late to be planting anything here. I appreciate you thinking of me. :-)

If anyone emails me, and doesn't hear back for a while... I might not be ignoring you... (though I could be) I've had issues with my computer for a while now, and I have a lot of messages being deleted as spam, I don't often think to check the deleted box before I empty it. I have to reformat my computer, and I just don't have time to do it right now. I'm doing 3 capstone courses this semester, plus a HORRIBLE European History class, and a couple of other classes, but all are extremely demanding, and I"ve not done much for the past few months except read and write papers, chauffer kids and attend football games. To give you an indication, I have probably 10 daylily catalogs, and have not opened the first one.....

Chele, thanks for keeping me straight!!!!

Melissa, your friends will all be here waiting for you when you come out to play again. We just want to give you support for these big steps you are taking . You go girl!

(Zone 4b)

glad the package was there but boy have we had the worst luck?!. I bet they dried out. Oh well........ theres plenty more where that came from! Good luck and stay centered, gbye Greta

Lenexa, KS(Zone 6a)

*GASP*!!! Not opened a SINGLE one!! Aww....Melissa....I guess I knew the classes were over next month and forgot about the student teaching.

Did you guys end up with a winning season? Matt ended up 5-4....nothing to celebrate but at least it was a winning season. Basketball is next up.

south central, WI(Zone 5a)

what a schedule, please take care so that you have enough energy to look at those catalogs and play. Happy (plant) dormant season.

Plano, TX(Zone 8a)

Good luck with your classes, Melissa. You certainly have my admiration!

Melissa--so glad to hear you are making progress with the classes and everyone is OK. It sounds like an incredibly busy time in your life but will no doubt give you loads of satisfaction. Someday maybe you can start a
dg forum on 'Psychology and Teenagers'. I'm sure it will be a hit!

Thought of you yesterday when we took a drive down Route 52 and saw the sign for Felicity...isn't that where you live? Very pretty area--so picturesque and peaceful....

take care. t.

Thanks all for your good wishes, they're appreciated. Yes, Bren, he had a winning season, several QB sacks and a few blocked punts, so he did good. They want to move him to Varsity next year as a freshman, which I'm not real thrilled about, but, when you have an almost 6ft (still growing) 260 pound 8th grader, who is also talented, the coaches start slobbering. :-)

Tobasco, yes, when you saw Rte 133, you were very close, we're just a mile from 52. Sorry I didn't respond before now, but I don't get on here (Dave's) very often anymore.

I wish all of you the best and a very Happy New Year.

Lenexa, KS(Zone 6a)

And a very Happy & Healthy New Year wish for you Melissa!!!

I think at 6-ft & 260 lbs. he'll hold his own with the Varsity crowd. How are the girls?
