Hey, got to get on late so you aren't jostling elbows with everyone one else out playing in etherworld. My daughter's laptop is on dial up and it drives me crazy waiting to load. On the other hand, the photos you're loading are worth the wait!
Look at that Maxine go!! Keep on posting, gotta hone your skills, don't cha know... All beautiful, but that Tropical Isle really catches my eye. mm...mmmm!
Langbr Maxine and Lilyfan--your pics are 'to die for'---you are going to turn me into a lilymaniac! I love that henryi especially.
Maxine -- Oh my!!! That Tropical Isle is GORGEOUS! I've never seen it....where did you get it? Would you have bulbs to share next year do you think??
Keep them coming.....more, more, more!
Tabasco - that's the idea --- addiction loves company! tee hee hee
Brenda, I'm still in love with the first Lily you posted. Keep going back to it. I missed it's name???

Brenda-- Absolutely beautiful! It's on my list. Thanks for sharing the pic with us.
Tazzy--got shovel, will travel! :)
Maxine, very small comment in italics if I could do that. Your Trumphator should have deep deep pink buds a-n-d be darker inside the bloom.
Next: Suncrest is cream with purple spreckles. Hope that you buried a label under each bulb when you planted them.
Tried to add a picture of Suncrest but am totally dozy today. I've added pictures in the past, don't know why I can't do it today.
This isn't a nag, BTW,
You can go to http://www.lilynook.mb.ca to see them. Then look at Northern Sensation, Northern Carillon and compare them to yours.
Brenda, think we need make that NEED a co-op with Lily Nook next spring
Ginny - who obviously needs a lesson in computer pictures
Golly, Ginny you're good! I didn't even realize Suncrest wasn't right. But it sure is not Suncrest that Maxine posted.
Maxine here's a pic of Suncrest:

All I can say in my defense is that is what was listed on the enclosure for the bulbs.
Thanks for correcting me. Dang neighbors dog went thru some of them last fall when we were on vacation, so who knows what is right.
PLEASE feel free to correct me, OK??
Does someone know what they are?
The one I posted as Suncrest is definetly not it! I don't like lilies spotted like that.
Maxine

Oh shoot!! I just lost the info that I had typed about the Tropical Isle lily
I looked in The Lily Garden, but it wasn't there.
Checked in B & D nursery catalog and there it was. Tropical Isle.
I always keep each yrs. catalogs and mark which ones I have ordered previously.
Tazzy, will take you up on it later in winter. I have surgery coming up next week and these dang graduation quilts are staring me in the face, saying GET ME DONE.
Maxine
Maxine - I think the one you called Suncrest might be Red Dutch. I knew it looked familiar and it is one that I bought in our Lily Nook order-sharing. Moby also got one. Here's a link to it:
http://www.lilynook.mb.ca/images/OT1032-Red-Dutch.jpg
What do you think? The pollen, shape and color look right..... Do you show whether you've purchased Red Dutch in the past?
maxine E m me on surgery and date so we can all be praying
Maxine--Bless you as you go thru your surgery & heal quickly so we can see more of your lilies!
ps. Maxine, I didn't know Walker the Wonderdog was over in your yard pulling garden stakes too! And the little poop told me he gave the hobby up in May. Goes to show that you just can't trust a hunting dog--they all lie.
Tazzy, have you never heard of Guerilla Gardening. On vacant plots.
Should be within walking distance due to carrying water. Maybe you live in a tidy area though, without any vacant lots. I've been doing this with local kids. They are very proud of their gardens.
lilies kept being picked though so now have a better scam. We have uni housing around here and the backs are just weedplots, cut now and then. So now we can garden legally. So far I have half of one house planted -rows of lilis & iris of course. The kids have marked off their beds for next year with one bed for everybody. That bed already has spinach *carrots * garlic & leeks in it. This bed is for the kids to pick and eat from whenever.
Ginny who tomorrow starts making decorations with kids from pinecones and dried flowers.
PS these are not my kids - just locals to keep them off the street, away from TV & inner city things.
Ginny - you've got a big heart!!! And what could be better than have a garden? Having 2 or 3 or 4 gardens!!!
sound good
Prudy !
I want it there goes the driveway ?
May God Bless you Ginny for REALLY improving the world--not just waving paper!
I have big flowerbeds at the local middle school & a pond at the high school. My work crew is usually kids on detention who have lots of energy & need a helping hand. They are reaping recognition from peers & teachers for the beauty they are creating. Two of "my kids" are now working at local nurseries . Funny to have those big "guys" call me "Mom". Makes me smile.
Ginny! You know that you "reap what you sow"... well, you gonna reap whole big bunches of good things coming to you full circle from the little good deeds you put out there ... Way to go!
All the pics are great... I have been following along as I felt up to it... am doing much better now...
Wanda, you and Ginny are really doing something! I think it is great and will have to look around for a way to contribute, too.
