is there anyone good at geometry

San Antonio, TX(Zone 8a)

What is the formula for drawing the perfect five pointed star. I have drawn about 15 or more stars and they all look off. Me being the perfectionist that I am I need a pattern for a perfect star.
HELP!!!

tombstone, I have no idea why I am posting here...I'm clueless. Having said that, I'm creeping, shame-faced into the bushes.

Geez, could you make it a six? That would be so much easier...
There may be an easier way, but I'll give it a go.
OK, got your compass and protractor? Assuming you know the dimensions of the star you want...
1. Draw a circle, with a point in the center for reference.
2. Place a point at the top of the circle, for the top of the star.
3. Use your protrator, from the center point to the top point and measure 72*. Place another point on the circle.
4. Continue around the circle until you have 5 points.
5. Connect the dots!

This is perfectly logical to me at this very late hour. Ask me again in the morning. My answer might be different! LOL

Keep your penta gram with a point upwards, otherwise you get into Bafomet and other evil stuff.

And Six pointed stars would turn all of us into the Chosen people? I don't think so....

Northport, ME(Zone 5b)

Don't mean to offend any Wiccan folk. I put astrology and any religion in the superstition boat. I prefer the ocean, thanks.

You worship Neptune? Hmm, a bit pagan, but that's okay. :)

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

LOL The pentacle is a very, very old symbol. Not necessarily exclusive to Wicca. No offense here.

Northport, ME(Zone 5b)

Just a metaphor, I worship my wife and my friends. Nothing else. Okay worship is the wrong word too.I treasure them. is that OK? I don't DO any religion. Trying to be PC here.

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

LOL And doing a fine job. Friends and family are the best treasures of all.

Just teasing... With all the "New Wave" & "Old Pagan" out there, I never know what might show up next! I think America has more religion right now than it's had in decades--
