Box to compose mail

Golden, CO(Zone 5b)

Is it just me, or is everyones little box to type in a new mail tiny? Mine is less than 2 inches across, so to type an email I get about 3 words per line. Since I talk too much, it makes for a very long skinny email. It doesn't appear that way when it is sent, or edited, only when composing.

Can it be bigger?

Please?

Terre....mine is about the size of a 3X5 card. Maybe it is due to a setting you have on your browser preferences or your monitor display?

Mine is quite small if it is a new email. A reply to another mail is nice sized.

Mine seems to shrink in width with each reply. I guess that means I reply too much!

Golden, CO(Zone 5b)

Mine is the same size on three different computers, so it is doubtful it is a setting.

Pflugerville, TX(Zone 8b)

hmmmmm....dunno then. I measured mine and it is 5 1/8" W by 2 3/4" high on a new email and 7 3/8" wide by 2 7/8" high on a reply. Are you trying to type your email in the "send to" window? It is only about 2 inches wide.

No, Pville, I'm not quite that computer challenged. Mine measures 2 1/2" wide by 2 1/2" high. If I click on preview, then the edit box is a decent size.

I don't know how to explain the difference then....sorry.

Mine is screwed up like that too, so it's from the home office.

Hmmm...mine is not small at all. I thought maybe it is cus I have my settings set larger than ya'll but when I changed them the box was still much bigger than what ya'll are describing.

Wonder why it only affects some of you and not others? Weird, eh?

Pflugerville, TX(Zone 8b)

Might be a difference depending on what browser you use, what operating system, what size monitor and what monitor screen size settings. I don't know the answer, just putting out some possibilities.

Nahhh, it's something buggy. I tried to reply (first reply, brand-new message) to a M2M message today, and the reply box was barely one character wide. I typed a few letters, then hit "preview" which gave me back a full-size text box to edit/finish typing my message.

The next M2M I handled had a half-size text box (meaning it was about half the size of our typical message boxes in the forums) but I could at least see what I was typing.

It's going to be a problem for Dave to fix, I think ;o) (Dave, if/when you're reading this, I'll try to send you a link the next time it happens to me.)

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

Mine's small, too.

Golden, CO(Zone 5b)

Thanks, Terry, that is what I was thinking all along.

Lenexa, KS(Zone 6a)

Mine's small sometimes and sometimes it's not. Guess Terry's on the trail of it though.

Scotia, CA(Zone 9b)

Mine is still large, so I am going to think this is because Dave wants me to have lots of room to go on and on and on and on ...... with lots of Yada Yada Blah Blah Blah thrown in for good measure. ;~)
