The chaos has begun! The end is near!

We are having the inside of the house redone.

A couple of months ago we had the outside restuccoed and painted.

Last summer my son-in-law redid the kitchen. New stove, additional cabinets.

Now, tear out dark red wood in the den and put up plasterboard. Add texture to the wall, repair some ceilings. Then paint the inside.

Poor cats. Reba stayed under the bedspread all day.

Last night two of the cats were inspecting the den, the boards had been pulled off of the walls. A nail was lying in the doorway and I flicked it with my cane. The back door was not wide enough for them as they flew out and bumped into things on the back porch.

When I got up this morning Sam , who is afraid of nothing and noone, headed for the back door. Just as he passed the furnace closet which has its door off the furnace kicked into life. He almost jumped out of his skin.

And the work on the rest of the house has not yet begun!

I can sympathize, George. Will you post before's and after's of your various projects?

I am not a cat person but they are hilarious when startled. You see some good shots of cats gone wild on America's Funniest Movies, or whatever that show is called...

Well the painters have been out for a few days and there is less odor now. The house look sgorgeous. They did an excelent job of patching cracks. The texture coat covers many imperfections. This house was built in 1950 so it has acquired quite a few. They paid great attention to details.

BUT, there is a great pile of debri behind the house that they were supposed to pick up over the weekend that is still there.

No pictures. My camera was broken on the return trip from Portugal this spring and I have not gotten a replacement yet. The cost of repair is too high for a 2 megapixel camera.

George, I'll bet it looks great! Jo
