They are SO cute! Had none come by here... to remote.

But it reminds me of a story that makes me cry every time I remember it...

When I was in college, I delivered newspapers to pay rent, and we had to do our own collections. I usually inserted bills in the papers and most folks sent in their monthly monies. I had to go door to door for the ones that did not so I could pay my paper bill each month.

I was out collecting one Halloween night, and amongst all the high-rise apartments on my route there was a very old and small trailer park (in Miami). At one trailer, when I knocked, I could hear an old man shuffling and saying he'd be right there.

When he finally got to the door, he had a tiny basket with a small handful of candies in it. When he realized I was just collecting and not a kid doing Trick-or-Treating, he was really crestfallen. He was SO looking forward to little kids in costumes!

I spent the next hour looking for kids in costumes to take there but could find none. I cried for that lonely old man, and still do every time I remember the incident.

No trickers here either... this end of town is really country and the kids all trick in the town area. 's okay tho, I've gotten used to it. But it is cute as all get out to see all the diff costumes and punkins that have been on DG the last coupla days.... Thanks much ~Blooms

That's so sad!! We did all day trick or treating with my son yesterday and visited all his grandparents. Found out too yesterday that my DH and I did the dumbest thing! We put our candy out on Sunday and my town did all their trick or treating on Sat!!! DUH!! That's typical of me though!! So now we have this TON of candy... Also forgot to take a camera so I can't even post a pic of DS in his Elmo costume! Maybe I can get him in it ONE more time! LOL

*snif* I had NO ONE come for trick or treat...you would think that the Border Patrol would have stopped in.....besides all that I couldn't get my BROOM to go!!! LOL Jo
