Sad day at llilyfans
You're sure a good sport about it, veeja!
Wanda,
Considering the time I have to leave Sat. morning, I think I'll settle for just getting me loaded in the truck!

I do let my two jack russells out occasionally to chase his cute little butt. so I'm not all that nice about it.I bought him some peanuts in hopes he would like those better than my bulbs but he seems to like both.I think he actually lives next door and just comes over for meals. My last house we didn't have a fenced yard and wondered why we went thru 150 lbs of cat food a week for two cats, till we went out one night and saw 8 racoons sharing with the kitties. they were cute too but husband refused to buy them cat food.husbands go figure.
LOL, veeja! Where you been hiding?? We need your kind of humor in this forum. Keeps us from crying about our losses.
I have been here lurking away.Nice to meet you
Welcome veeja!!!! Pleased to meet ya! Jump right in! "racoons sharing with the kitties"... that is too funny... I am surprised they didn't run the kitties off... they can be mean when they want to... do you live out in the country? Our dogs keep all critters away from the house. Starr
We were blessed with a stray jack russell ( terrorist) years ago. It was obvious that whoever owned her before was cruel and mean to her. This little girl was a hunting fool! No animal, other than her, was allowed on our property and If they did they didn't live to regret it! Shes gotton old now and can't hear or see very well, so the rabbits, squirells, coons, possum ect...have all returned to forage in my flower beds. She's a very loving companion and quickly became one of the family. We will definetly get another one! Veeja3, do you have any pictures of your jack russells?
How cute! They are like kids arent they?
Sure are, tisha is in season, so i have to keep her in the house, kinda like my youngest daughter at 15 walking around the house singing a song that was on the radio ( me so horny) I had to keep her in also. My male just like my boys does not cause many problems.
What Kind are your children ?
These are rat terriers, veeja. Very related to the Jack Russell terriers and from what I've heard very similiar in temperament. After my Yorkie, Coco, passed away I wanted another "baby". DH wanted the runt (Patch) but I wanted Blaze with his classic rat terrier markings. We decided to get both to keep them company. Oy Vay!!! It was more than a handful the first couple of years, but now they are a bit more "mature" and we're glad we got both.....they keep each other company.
Love the part about your 15 year old! LOL!
At 16, I gave up and took her in to get birth controll, she was pregnant, she is a nurse in the army now. just hope she dosen't have to go to Iraq. so it turned out ok. Tisha also had a litter a couple months ago that wasn't planned. I swore I brought her in when she was in season but like the daughter somehow she snuck past me.I think I got her this time tho.
veeja3, sounds like we have a similar prayer. My son is in the army national guard, just got back from serving a year in Kosovo and now our prayer is that he won't have to go to Iraq. His girlfriend got pregnant the month he was leaving ((((((must have been a great going away gift!!!!))))) He came back in Dec. to get married, back again in June for the birth of his son and just got back (hopefully) for good.
I'm hopeful for you too, anahi!
My little brother was sent to Iraq in Sept., I just hope they ALL come back safely and that y'alls son and daughter don't have to go.
Thanks guys....sadiemae, my heart goes out to you. I hope and pray for the same thing. Do you hear from your little brother often?
Anahi - He's called me once and talked for 2 hours. Probably the longest we've ever talked (he's my 1/2 bro, so we weren't raised together). He calls home alot and I stay updated thru my stepmom and my dad, plus emails. He is in a fairly safe area and we know how very, very lucky we/he is to have access to phones & computers. I feel very sad for my stepmom, he's her only child and has never been away from home (except for military training) until this, he'll be 22 in December.
I'm just glad my dad got out of the Nat. Guard 4 years ago or he'd be right there too.
Vicki
It's a hard way to grow up fast! He must have joined the military right out of high school. Your poor stepmom! Worry begins the day your child is born and because you love them so much it never ends. Is it possible that your Dad could still be called back to duty? I have a cousin in the same situation.
Yes, he actually joined the Guard right B4 he graduated, to help pay for his college.
I don't think they'd take my dad back now, he's got something wrong with his heels and I don't think he'd be able to pass the physical.
Thats good news for you dad sadie! Yep, sounds like the typical situation..that's why my son joined the guard. The sad part of this is that the National Guardsmen are not trained to be in a war situation like the military are, so they go there totally unprepared for it. He is prepared to go and do his duty when they call him up for it though. He has a strong sense of patriotism, so do I but of coarse like any parent I don't want my son to be in harms way.
