I'm still interested and looking forward to it. Glenda was over for a visit a couple of days ago, and she's got the flu now. She's still not sure about her travel plans, and when they'll be away.
Maybe people should post which date suits them better. The April 1-5, or the week after.
Linda
Canadian RoundUp
Either's fine with me.
Still checking work schedule; prefer the 1st to 5th but think I can manage 8th to 12th.
Either is fine with me.
Glenda do you think you will be able to make the 8th to 12th?
Pam, nope the 8th to the 12 is no good for me. Birthday is on the 8th, and we will be going out several days ahead of that, and will be staying for awhile after that. I think you had better count me out, and if I happen to be around for any fo the time, that will be great. If not, my loss!!! I think most of you have the best time picked for yourselves so go with whatever is good and I will see what happens!!!!
Glenda
So Maybe we should have it on the 1-5th of April as first suggested, and maybe Glenda can make the first day or 2 if she's still in town, cause it sounds like she won't be around the 8-12th.
Linda
I'm in favour.

Any errors or omissions?
Not heard from Echoes on this one???
Her paid membership has not been renewed.....will have to see what inanda says.
First of all, my kids call Zanderbus "The Hippy moms hipmobile" Don't think my kids really believe some of my stories, even when backed up with photos. Oh well. Don't know I managed to have some very square kids. Perhaps rebellion.
2nd. Any time is good for me. Not too sure about Echoes. Some discussion but not too much excitement. She has so many seedlings etc on the go, think it would be very hard for her to get away. Banks and banks of lights. My seedlings will be in Winnipeg so it is easy for me to get a minder, much harder for Echoes in the country.
VHS meets first Tuesday of the month so guess we will miss that. Oh well.
When is Canada Blooms Ceedub? Suppose I could go and dig around on the web.
Ginny who will be staying near the Red Barn.
I think that Ingrid (Paridise) was interested - I'll send her an e-mail.
Once we get it all firmed up, I'll contact the Victoria Horticultural Society and see if they are interesting in presenting a day or an afternoon seminar for us. If this is to go ahead, please give me some idea of what topic(s) most people would like. Or even if you'd like to have a seminar.
Linda
Ohh, sounds like a wonderful opportunity if we could impose upon them to do one for us. So many topics could be suggested, propagation and care for Roses, Insecticides/Fertilizers, the cultivation and care of Brugmansias, Daturas , and of course, nearest and dearest to my heart, Water gardening. Anything to do with gardening would be interesting. I am getting so excited!
well, I know they do tours of gardens. About $100 per, for a private tour, unless I'm totally out to lunch.
When are the Rhodies out? thinking of the UVic gardens. So many gardens to see. Govt. House. Hort. Centre of the Pacific. Too early for lilies. And all the nurseries. Yum Yum. Maybe some time in Sidney?? Mustn't miss the Museum ...and the causeway on a Sunday or Sat. maybe. Oh my. How many days did you decide???? Sunday AM ballet by watertaxis?
I can prob. arrange a tour of the coast guard base if there is any interest for tht. No flowers there though.
Inanda
Ohhhhh, Im getting even more excited!! :D
I'll call the VHS on Monday, and see what they can offer. I have standing commitments for every Tuesday evening, so can't make their meeting, unless it's during the day... I'll call and let you know.
There will be so much to see, of gardens and anyting else you can think of. It might be a bit early for the humpback whales coming back, but there's always the resident orcas that they give rides out to. You usually see whales.
Linda, stop it! Between you and Ginny, this old heart is just a thumpin'.
Hi, you 'peeps' are making me want to come too, but I don't think that will happen. Sure sounds like fun though.
Brenda
Nice to hear from you again Brenda. We missed you. :)
There's a new thread for the plotting and planning stage

Why thank you, Donna
Glad to see you back echoes!! It felt really funny when I clicked on your homepage and saw you were no longer a paying member.
Oh, that was just a blip
That's good! :)
That's really good. Try and come to Victoria with us, Brenda.
Inanda, Canada Blooms is March 9-13. Here's the website http://www.canadablooms.com/ - I'll post this on the new thread too.
