Entering Daylilies into journal

Hi, I've already posted this in Daylilies, but I thought I would cross-post here to see if anyone knows how to enter daylilies into the journal. When I enter vegetables correctly I get a link at the bottom of my entry which says "This plant is in the Plants Database" and I can click on it to go directly to the PDB entry. I can't figure out how to enter my Daylilies to get that link to appear. Does anyone know?

Natasha -

I'll give it a try. I believe Dave has explained to me before that in order for that link to appear in your Journal there has to be a match on Genus AND species. Because all of the Hemerocallis in the PDB do not have anything in the Species field it cannot make the match. That's the long and short of it I think. I'll see if I can find the previous thread on this subject.

Thanks, Langbr. That makes sense. I was also trying to match the common name to make things work, and didn't like some of the common names, so your explanation helps me in two ways since I don't need to do that either. For the daylilies I will just add the link to the PDB in my "initial comments" box instead.

I just tried finding the other thread where Dave explained it but couldn't find it using a DG search or a Google search. It was sometime in the last year though. Sorry.

Thanks! It's VERY outdated....all of 2004 nearly to enter! But that's always a winter project I suppose. So many new things to add.
