Mirpur (A.K), Pakistan(Zone 9b)

Very beautiful, will wait for the seeds.

(Nadine) Devers, TX(Zone 9b)

Well I did mine by grinding the seeds(for the water to find its way into the seedcoat) and soaked them in hot water for about 8 hours in a thermos jug and then planted them in the flowerbed...and poof..I got seedlings coming up...
Don't know the variety until I see my mom who gave me the seeds...She had them in her garden as well...

Jones Creek, TX(Zone 9a)

i planted a few seeds early spring, 3 have taken off, 1st flower opened 2 weeks ago, I stayed up till 10pm, bloom still hadn't opened yet, by 7am the top of the bloom was already fallen over, sigh, now I have 2 more ready I think for tonight, so high up won't be able to smell it unless I get a high step stool and climb my 3ft raised bed, lol, where are the seeds? You know I don't know why they do this but I have noticed that alot of times the first flowers of the Morning Glory are not much either. Then later they will start to open better. Maybe they get stronger or something as the put on more blooms or maybe it is a learning experience for them. LOL......but this don't seem to be unusual to have the first few blooms not open or be half open and the just drop off. I have gone throught quite a few blooms thinking now what in the world is wrong with these flowers and are they all gonna be like this.... as I 'm scratching my head.........

thanks for the info, I'll check again tonight, I really really want a picture of it, Moodene, yours looks so perfect, I didn't realize how large the flower would be, yours is so pretty! Enjoy it!

(Nadine) Devers, TX(Zone 9b)

LOL..it is the first time I have grown these moonflowers.... the seedpod should follow after the bloom dies..just wait abit cuz it will be about the size of your thumb or bigger...I found mine by accident cuz I thought I was having more blooms but they were seedpods cuz they were drying to brown color...

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

There will be so many seed pods that you will be amazed! For each bloom there will be a pod. I must have hundreds on this vine now. I've gathered a handful so far and I'm just praying they are ready before our first frost.

I am going to start a few Morning Glories and Moonflower next week and see what happens. Our weather is cold for such a short time I may get a nice surprise and have early blooms and seed.......I hope...

If I get seeds on mine, I'd love to share them as well, so you all let me know! Weather has been really crazy here, rain, dry winds today, I keep looking for those big seed pods, kinda looking at water boiling I think, lol

(Nadine) Devers, TX(Zone 9b)

Mine is still blooming in this weird weather we are having too...hot,windy then rain..now cool...mmmm...something tells me that winter is on the way somewhere..or it could fool me and be hot and muggy again...but I still love Texas weather tho...lol..

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

Winter is on the way here. Temps this morning are 49 and feels like 38. Winds are strong and blustery! I just hate winter and certainly envy your zone. Enjoy your blooms, they are beautiful.
