Question about Pay pal

Brookeville, MD(Zone 7a)

I have a question about pay pal...

I just added my pay pal balance to my actual bank account (add funds) and it takes 3-4 days to for the transaction to be completed. But my problem is I just won an ebay auction and need to pay for it. If I pay for it now, will I have a negative balance? Or will it now be paid for from my bank account and not from the balance?

Thanks!

It will make a draw on your account if you have set it up to do so but be forewarned that PayPal is down and has been not working for a couple of days. My business is tied to it and all heck is breaking loose, believe me. But it will be better tomorrow.

You won't be able to use the PayPal account until they do their test deposit and withdrawal, I don't think. Most auctions allow you sufficient time afterward to pay, though. If the seller accepts credit card payments through PayPal, you could do that in the meantime, providing you can get TO PayPal. Darned site went down the night two of my auctions completed. One fella did manage to pay me today, but the other buyer is sending a money order. I was able to get into my account there for a little while, but it was running slow and timing out; I finally just gave up. I think I'll try now since it's late here on the east coast.

The new feature, with their revisions that caused all of their outages, is that you no longer have to have an account to send payments. You can do it directly from your card or your bank account.

I usually see the "hold" on my bank acct within 24 hrs. I have overdraft protection, so I don't have to worry about overdrawing it. You might want to look into that.

How do I sign up for that? I have the free account and really don't want to get into paying for the business one.

I *think* you'd already be covered, CaptMicha -- but don't quote me.
