Mail question

Meade, KS(Zone 6a)

This is a question concerning the emails that are stored on Dave's. Do or am I supposted to delete them when I no longer need them? Or do they delete after a certain time by themselves? Thanks Janet

I don't know how deleting emails works. If someone doesn't come along here with an answer before too long, post it in the "Daves Garden" forum. That's where the admininstrators look for threads directed toward them. I think this question one that they are best suited to answer.

Thanks Janet

I sent that same question to Admin. a few days ago, but haven't gotten an answer yet - never thought of the Garden forum. Thanks for the tip! (It does get cumbersome fast, doesn't it?)

Dave mentioned somewhere that since Davemail belongs to 2 people (sender and recipient) it's hard if not impossible to delete. For an example (mine) suppose I ask you a question and you answer. You may be finished with the email but I may want to keep it for reference.

Hope this helps.

BTW, My email content is getting long and I'd like to delete some.

I asked if there was a way we could dump the ones we don't consider into the "old e-mail" box. that way it's not GONE, but it's not in the way of the active ones.

This may sound silly, but can you not email at all to a persons private mail now?

Of course you can, assuming you already have their email address. Or, you can use Davemail to them and ask for it.
