when I type a response to anything my words are in a different font. then when i send it they are normal just like everyone else's.
when i type the letters are not bold but regular letters and when i send they are bold . just curious. only started today.
ps noticed the preview button letters are the same way till it sends. i posted a pic with this so you can see because i am sure my letters will be back to bold when i send.

You are not alone. I notice tonight that responses seem to be in "Courier" or something similar when typing, not posts.
I hate it.
Me too! By the way,, I am probably the only one with no life lol but a chat on the weekends would be cool!! During the week it's too hard! Hopefully my age old computer (not kidding 9+yrs) can handle it.
PS I am not trying to 'hone in' on someone's thread. I hope no one is offended. I just didn't want to start another one when I can't imagine how you 'Dave' keep up with everything now!

I noticed the font change this afternoon, I just thought it was my junky computer at work, but it's like that at home too.
And I thought it was the pc too. Been on it too long and figured I'd accidently hit a font when I was changing front size and bold, italics, etc. :)
Let me reiterate, I HATE it. Takes me back 40 years or more to typewriters.
I noticed it too. Freaked me out. Did you notice that the Send and Preview buttons are in the same font?
I HATE IT!
Lol, darius. How do you REALLY feel about it?
I HATE IT, I HATE IT, I HATE IT.. LOL.
Weird...my puter is acting like it always has...font is the same as always.
Do all of ya'll use Mac? And what browser are you using? Just curious here.
'Shoe, most of the posters are PC folks, not Mac. So, it's endemic (pandemic?). I'm on a Safari Browser, and I'd bet most are on IE.
Mine is the same way. I can't say I hate it, but will take some getting used to. I have to say it makes it much easier to pick out typos though.
I'm on IE and a PC and mine is different now, also.
Well thank goodness it just wasnt me. I am also on IE. I dont really like it too much myself. I want my boldness back. hehe
thanks everyone for letting me know it wasnt my computer as i was thinking. Marie
I'm with Joan, it makes it easier to spot the typos.
Jen
i like it!!
What a hoot! I kinda like it. Makes me want to type

lol it has been a few years since high school typing classes.
lol...I noticed it yesterday, too, and figured I must have inadvertently changed it...I'm on a PC with IE also...
OK, Dave, what's up??
Darius you could just change the font you use for the internet to one you like.
I updated the font thinking it would affect only Linux users (read "me") and wasn't expecting it to affect you guys, too. I'll do what I can to switch it back.
dave
How's it now?
I just posted on the coop forum and it seems fine again now!!
Yup, mine's back too. Thanks!
Noticed it yesterday .. when I'd posted a reply .. for the Happy anniversary to our October "sprouts" thread, by Terry ... http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/461586/
Geez .. just one humble opinion here .. but having a bit of eyesight difficulty - I found that the new font (being a bit larger and some 'space' in-between each character) .. had made for much greater ease in 'preparing' my text for posting ! ! !
Then .. with it reverting back to the usual font (AFTER posting) .. was jes fine and dandy !!
I was utterly delighted ! ! ! ! ! !
But it sure made things easier 'on the eyes' ... (for a spell, anyway!) ... Enjoyed it .. while I had it !!

Mags, you could change the default font in your browser so it will display fixed-width fonts.
okay mine is back too. YEA!!! hehe
Thanks Dave
The text on my computer is now really really small. I was away from the computer for the weekend, and now it is tiny?
OK...WHO stole my GLASSES??? I can't SEE anything !! The text is TOO small and I can't change the size of it in my view menu in IE. No, I take that back, certain parts of the screen (like the names and pictures in the PDB) *do* change but not the whole screen.
PUT IT BACK!!! I'll look in again later. (Edited to add: Please! :-))

Glad it's not just me! This is way too hard to read.
Yep....here too with Firefox.....my guess is Dave is playing with the Fonts again. I've temporarily increased my font size in my browser.
I have too, but in order to make the text readable, the user names are HUGE!
I had a REALLY bad moment there, I thought something had happened to my eyes!! It really is hard on old eyes, not to mention the nose marks on the screen from trying to focus!!! LOL

Oh glad to hear Dave is working on it. I was going to hurry out and buy some new glasses. Bet He'll have it fixed in nothing flat.
Better now! Thank you!
Whew! Well the forums are fixed...but the reply box is still small...if I make typos here, blame it on Dave!! :-D
