Hello Everyone;
My name is Lisa aka Garden4Birds because I am new to gardening and love to birdwatch so why not combine them together!
I am a country gal down to the bone..love the country lifestyle and love country music.I would like to decorate country but not into the clutter of it prefer the simple clean country look.My dream homestead would be a little log cabin on maybe 2 acres with lots of woods but room for a vegetable garden and some chickens,and horses...Somewhere I could attract lots of birds and wildlife! I was born in the Northwoods of Wisconsin so that's comfortable for me..
But do also love to travel and would like someday to see some of the following--Wine country in CA,New England in the Fall and the Smokey mountains.
I am a married lady of 32 yrs old.No kids just 2 dogs.

Welcome to DG! I grew up in Northbrook, IL, but used to go to Volo (sp?) with my father when he'd go hunting. Are you anywhere around there?

Hello and Welcome! I'm from your area. I have dogs too! And cats and all kinds of critters. I garden for wildlife too! My husband is the birdman around here and he is much better with bird identification than me. We have quite an assortment but I'd say my favorites are the Turkey Vultures while he gravitates toward the woodpeckers and flickers. I know, he's normal and I'm weird but but but those darn turkey vultures are magnificent. Glad you joined DG!
Welcome Lisa, I too am a bird watcher, garden for birds. Great choice you made for your screen name. I live in the country here in North Central Washinton. Can't see any houses from my house. I have 5 1/2 acres, but have 2 1/2 fenced in with solid redwood fence. The deer were eating everything. You will love D G. Donna aka rutholive
Greetings to you and glad to have you in our garden family. It's a big family, but you don't need to be intimidated. Most of us don't bite. ;)
