Pres Bush and my daughter

Fort Pierce, FL(Zone 10a)

My daughter is a staff fundraiser for the American Red Cross in Stuart, FL. When Pres Bush visited there yesterday, she shook his hand and asked for a donation! Hope she asked him for another billion in the pot, we sure could use it! She also said that Gov Jeb Bush was even more handsome in person than in pictures....could that be possible? LOL

Well, did he make a personal donation?

I haven't had a chance to ask her, but knowing my daughter she will send him a request letter if he didn't! *grin*

El Cajon, CA(Zone 10a)

congratulations to your daughter Pati, they are very handsome men, she surely is getting a good handshake and a winning smile from the Pres....I think Gov. Bush has the best speaking voice, maybe another Bush running for office one of these days....

El Cajon, CA(Zone 10a)

ps come to think of it..that is the 2nd time you have mentioned how handsome Gov. Bush is...I think you have a crush on him...LOL
:›)))))))

Fort Pierce, FL(Zone 10a)

Tulsa, OK(Zone 7a)

i never thought Jeb was good looking will look again. BUT BUT i think george is a doll and what a real man looks like and beats clinton by a landslide.. what women see in C.. ugh... now George yes YES - YOU BET...

El Cajon, CA(Zone 10a)

I agree with you those Bush men...real men..yes..Have you seen our Pres. Bush when he was young...really very very handsome, also I do not believe you Pati, you are not too old to have your eye on young Jeb....and you can call it whatever you like... smile....

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

What does good looking mean to be a good President or for that matter any kind of leader???? I know of some very, very handsome people who lack total cerebral powers.
Maria

El Cajon, CA(Zone 10a)

Maria, it doesn't hurt tho does it ??? better than an ugly one for sure..
[ you know makes him easier to look at] smile....Where are you Tom Selleck !!!!!
hugs, marion

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

Of course it does not hurt, Marion, but I am old enough to know how some women can get carried away by the looks of a man and vote for him to lead no matter how empty headed he may be they'll vote for him, I must say that is some qualification for a leader!!
Maria

El Cajon, CA(Zone 10a)

Hi Maria, too true, too true, yes, we have [well I] have just been having a little fun, but seriously, I am more interested in a man [or woman] who is morally minded, with good [or the best] ethics, and has the countrys welfare at heart, also someone who understands and cares about the welfare of the people...not a lot of them really do, and make promises that they have no intentions of keeping... I think Pres. Reagan was a good example..I think his heart was in the right place altho I do think Pres.Bush is a good man, I do not agree with all that he does, I do think he had the best intentions tho'...hope you are feeling better, and less stressed, try to rest...love marion

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

This is a very serious matter and I know you 'll understand. It's just that I worry about some silly women who will vote for the looks of a man, I would never do this, I'll vote for the ugliest individual if I thought he or she would be best qualified. Maria

El Cajon, CA(Zone 10a)

Couldn't be more right than that Maria, have been through a lot of disgust over past years with so called ''leadership'' in the Whitehouse and other government offices... which made many of us cringe..and shake our heads in disbelief...that is why I finally became involved with voting etc., which I had not thought important years ago...it is up to us to vote these people out of office, and now I feel quite passionate about it...
Don't ever apologise for speaking your mind or letting your feelings be known, a lot of people don't and should..with me, my Brit humour takes over at times, but it is very serious and the leadership we will have in the future will be even more critical than what we are going through now, so much going on...and much more to come...thinking about you, take good care, marion

New Hyde Park, NY(Zone 7a)

I think I would love to sit down and talk with aria, a voice of reason, we must all remember it is not about party, but it is all about country.

Fort Pierce, FL(Zone 10a)

"my Brit humour takes over at times"

I think we are skirting very close to one of Dave's no-no's (political discussion), but I just HAVE to say that I think Tony Blair is one cutie-patootie! LOL
Pati

El Cajon, CA(Zone 10a)

Agree with you Pati, I think tho if people just learn respect and not to get too involved with real serious discussions we can agree to disagree but not let it interfere with the way things are set out in the formats...
Keep it lighthearted thats my motto !!!!
[and keep smiling] :) :) :) :)
