Help in narrowing down searches in PDB?

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)

I tried to look for "Black Eyed Susan Vine" today, and it came up with bazillions of other flowers, and I gave up. I then typed in "Vine" and it ended up being the first on the list, thank goodness.

Is there a way to narrow down searches? Like using "quote" marks or plus marks (+), etc...... like you can on google and other search engines?

If you just type in the name: Black Eyed Susan Vine on the "Search forums" you will come up with this link:

then, you will have the botanical name to search for in PDB :)

plus it will direct you right to the PDB :)

http://davesgarden.com/pdb/search.php?search_text=blackeyed+susan+vine I did it without the space between black and eyed, and this is what popped up. Sometimes I just try different ways, like one word, "blackeyed" or with a dash "black-eyed" Hope that helps a little.

A boolean search would be nice though. I ususally try to get to the right Genus and then search the results of the genus search.

yes - but not sure how difficult it would be for them to make that available. It sure saves me time when I do searches on google and other search engines.
