watchdog question

Oak Grove, MN(Zone 4a)

How do I post a new comment about a company I already have a comment on? I don't want to add to my previous comment, because I have placed an entirely new order. Also, the watchdog doesn't bump ratings up like when you comment on an old thread and it comes back to the top of the list. Anybody know?

Sylvi, we don't allow second and third comments because it would allow someone to "sandbag" a company's rating (either for good or bad). It's a "one rating per customer" setup for that reason.

You can add to your existing comment and change your rating (if necessary). But you're right - it doesn't bump your new addendum to the most recent. I was actually thinking about that fact this morning - it might make sense to allow the new comment to "bubble" the user's entire comment to the top. But Dave may have had a very good reason for keeping the comment in its original spot when he designed the system.

Oh, okay. Thanks for a prompt response. I can see how that makes good sense about multiple posts. I wonder if bumping the response to the top would be helpful though. It would let people see how companies have resolved issues with orders and how ratings have changed due to the action of the company. Just a thought. Thanks!
