Dave,
I just wanted to say "Thanks" in public for this garden I call "home" on the Internet. I have just come back from "facetime" with friends at the Kentucky Round Up. These DG people were a diverse piece America from a variety professions and backgrounds with one love: their gardens. Dave's Gardens has enabled all of us to meet and share our experiences in the garden and out. Thanks again Dave for making this mix possible!
Thank You, Dave!

Sounds like it was a great trip! Well, you're very welcome. :-)
best,
dave
HEY! Those of us who don't garden had a great time and enjoyed meeting everone too. LOL Jo
"Facetime" - love that phrase, Wanda. Dave, remember sitting at the table at Crossville, playing cards and looking around...Thinking about how one little seed list had grown into such a gathering? What was the membership at that time? What is it now? What a cool thing this juggernaut is; it just keeps getting better and better!
Yes, I sure do remember having that discussion, GW. I don't remember how many people we had at the time, but it was a fraction of what we have now, for sure. Makes me wonder what 2006 holds for us.
dave
What is the current head count now, Dave? Or is it somewhere I haven't gleaned yet...

Goodness gracious!!!! 21,000 this summer alone? Man!
Thanks for the Big Pointing Arrow to the #, Terry. Now I know where to find it. : )
Daisy, *I* had to go find it myself not long ago, which is how I knew where to look. Had no idea where Dave had stuck it after the big renovation work this summer ;o)
I still can't believe that I signed on right after the Crossville RU!! I could have been there dang it all!! I also thank you Dave for making my life a bit brighter with my gardening friends. And Jo!!;)
Tina
Shoot, tried going to the Internet Archive's "Wayback Machine", but it won't let me see archived pages. http://web.archive.org/web/*/davesgarden.com
I think we should encourage ALL the states to have Round-Ups. We have one in Iowa the first Saturday In May & invite any DGers who want to make the trip. The food & plant swap alone make it worth the trip! And meeting DG friends in person--PRICELESS!
I would love to make that one Wanda!!!
Tina
Come one, come all! I'm not a good cook, but I'll bake something fun again. And the plant swap was a lovely chaos! Lilyfan talked me out of a favorite hosta I got to first. Boy, is she good! LOL
Here is a link to the next Iowa Roundup. http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/430120/#new

Certainly feels like home these days. I've become totally addicted. and learn something on here every day. Thanks Dave for opening this garden for us to meet in.
Roadrunner--I thought "home" was where you parked the golf cart....
Dave, can a link be provided that will show a subcribers watched treads wether they have been updated or not? Would save much searching time. - Dyson
Ooohhh...ohhhh...me! ME! I know the answer to that one!!... (Says Horshack/Horseshoe!)
Go to your personal page (click on your name) and you will see a link that says "view the threads you are watching".
thank you
A watched thread will pop up to the top of the forum list on the "forums" tab, too. If it's there, it's got new goodies to read. :)
LOL @ Horshack.....lolol.....too funny!
Hehehe....Pville, we're giving away our age, or maybe just the shows we once watched!
:>)
funny thing is I rarely watch any TV at all these days.....if I want reality shows the last place I'm gonna look for them is on TV LOL.
one ringy dingy.....two ringy dingies.....gracious good evening....is this the person to whom I am speaking? ;-)
:: snort snort ::
LOL Laugh In! I still love Lily Tomlin..... snort, snort.... and Edith Ann?
What was the title of the movie she was in w/ John Trovoltia?
Moment by Moment
Oh Wanda...and Edith Ann.
We Always Wanted that Big-O-Rocker to Sit in...and Look at Our Gardens.
Kind of a Rocking Family Loveseat!
Someday I am Going to Build One!
(Trying to Think of the Movie...)
The World's largest Rocking chair is in Amana, Iowa. I feel like Edith Ann when I sit in it!
And I always love Lily Tomlin in "9 to 5" with Dolly Parton. The revenge of the secretaries--just too funny!
