Print view for PDB?

Cincinnati, OH(Zone 6a)

Is there an easy, allowed way to print a specific entry in the PDB?

I'm trying to put together a personal plant journal so that I can keep track of the care and propagation of the plants I have. If I print an entry now, there are so many graphics and so much white space that I end up with three pages for each plant that could probably be compacted to one with a special print view.

Is this possible or feasible or does this interest anyone else?

Thank you,
Mary Ev.

I've wondered about that same thing, MaryEv.

For now you can 'Copy' it by going 'Ctrl A' (Select All) followed by 'Ctrl C', and then 'Paste' it into MS Word or such. The pictures will be gone and you can edit out the blank areas.

Yes, I suppose that is what I'll have to do. Thank you for your suggestion, Ulrich.

You are welcome.
Keep bumping it up and Dave might see it and have a better answer.

if you copy it by using the mouse you should get the photos too. I have done that a lot, just start at the top of the page with the mouse and highlight all of the text and photos both and then copy and past into word or works and you should have the photos also.

I just tried it again with selecting all (Ctrl A) and the pictures showed up this time. Go figure.

I would like a Print this Page feature.

That would be great! Especially with the FAQs.

I've been hanging out a lot in the PlantFiles area (formerly the PDB) this week, and would love to see a streamlined print feature.

Since the fields vary a lot in size, perhaps the details could be split into two columns? The zip code report field itself could be split up into columns on the regular display, which would reduce white space both for viewing and printing.

Trying to save a tree here as I continue to grow in knowledge,
Donna :)
