Garden Angel Fund news

Benton, KY(Zone 7a)

Well, the Angel Fund is going to be solvent for quite some time now....we did good gang.

The Silent Auction that we had at the Roundup brought in 326.00 to be sent to DG Headquarters for our members. Isn't that grand folks??? That's going to help out a great many people who might need it.

The other great news is that money has nothing to do with the 160.00 we raised from the sale of quilt tickets! That's a grand total of 486.00 !! Yep, you heard right....486.00.

So, now Dave, we need a spot for DG'rs to purchase chances that didn't get to go to RU.

We sold them
5.00 each
20.00 for 5 and
50.00 for 12

I suppose anyone could just mail you a check or money order for whatever that wanted...but some folks might like to use Pay Pal

The ball is rolling! Get your chances folks!

Everyone I asked thought Dec 1 was a good cut off date...and maybe have .. the drawing and announcement of the winner a couple of days later.

We did good Gang!

Anyone who wishes to participate can purchase tickets by sending it to:

StandardOut, Inc (checks payable to that, too please)
P.O. Box 291443
Kerrville, Texas 78029

Make sure to include your username on a note so I know who you are!

Alternatively, send it via PayPal to stdout@standardout.com, again put your username in the memo field!

best,
dave

Ursula, your contributions to the Angel Fund should not go unnoticed here. I don't think Dave ever posted how nuch money your seeds brought (and it's not important overall how much $... just a community effort all around!) but your contribution is equally important to what the Quilters and the KYRU silent auction brought.

Great job!

Congratulations Melody and Co.! I'll send my check next time I'm in town which could be a couple days. We're under the throes of that bad girl Jeanne right now and roads tend to wash out very easily here right now. I hope I win! I hope I win! :-)

Thank you to everyone who helped in making the quilt, it's beautiful. I'm sure the procedes will go a long way in putting smiles on peoples faces. I'm off to get my tickets : ).

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

That quilt is BEAUTIFUL - saw it first-hand this weekend. What a super thing for the silent auction to have raised so much, too!

Dave, how does the Pay Pal work for the quilt? Just use the email address as the payee? I've not messed with this end of it before and have had a question over in the Crafts forum about Pay Pal.

By the way, money goes out today to DG Headquarters from the RU weekend. Got it all figured and listed.

Question # 2...can we start a fresh thread explaining what is going on for those who haven't seen yet? If so, here on the DG Forum? That would be my guess.

Yes, that's exactly it. They just need to send it to my stdout@standardout.com paypal address and make sure to include a note that this is for the quilt and what their username it. So far 5 members have all purchased quilt tickets in this manner.

Yes, definitely. Please do start the thread! I'll join in after you start it.
